On same boat with that Oga up there.
3m but civil engineer.
I really want to consider Russia or Brazil.
Still doing my research though, next year must not pass mebye without accomplishing this goal by the grace of God.

kevwemanuel:

With your 3million, I'd suggest you shoot a shot at Sweden (if you can provide good POF) or Russia in Europe. If there's anyway you can double that cash, you can shoot for Norway or Germany. Some cheap schools in Canada may also be feasible for you, you just have to look at the right places.

If you like Asia, you can shoot for South Korea. If you want to have some change with you, you can shoot for Thailand.

If you like Africa, you'll be amazed at how much IT knowledge and a sane environment you can get from Rwanda, and if you are willing to set up a business there (maybe IT dependent), PR is easy to get.

What's your qualification and class of degree?
If you have a BSc and you can raise #1million naira (this includes your flight ticket money), there's big hope for you in the US.

Just with a bachelor's degree?
Yes. In the US, it's the standard.

It's the standard in the US. If you read my earlier write up, you will see the steps to achieve this. If that's not sufficient for you, you'll have to research more.

3 million will be enough for either of Russia or Brazil. Brazil has free tuition. The problem with Brazil is that, you can't get admission if you can't speak Portuguese.

If you have up to #6 million you can target Norway. You don't pay tuition fees, but you'll need over #5milla for living expenses. A similar thing applies to Germany, but you will need your 100level Nigeria University transcript for Germany, which I guess you don't have.

You can also look at Russia. I think you'll see schools that require less than #1million for tuition.

You are avoiding USA, if not you can write SAT, blast the exam and get fully funded.

You can also visit the Canada thread on Nairaland to see if you can get cheap schools there.

If you can learn Portuguese, you can get a free education in Brazil, and I think Uruguay (Spanish).

You are looking for countries that are big and are not "shitholes", if not I would have recommended some Asia countries where school fees is cheap and you can be working.

So go through this list and make a decision.

All the best.

I had all C's in my O'level, so do you think I can get fully funded in US if I make good grades with SAT?

First- with 3million you can study for free in Czech republic all you have to do is pay money for language preparatory course after 1year ur tution fee is free.........
But the visa approval rate in Nigeria is very low that's the bad thing.....

2nd- China you can study cheap in China also you gats do industry work if you don't have home backup....

3- Russia... You can do a 1 year language preparatory course in Russia with about 100k after that you will be studying in Russian
Note:: Your tution fee will be cheap like 50% splash... If you suppose pay $4000 you will pay $2000....

Note: there is job in Russia but to have it is hard because the person that wanna employ you will ask for job permit.. if you go to the authority for job permit they will say have job first that's the little problem there.....

Also you can be self employed like doing your own business eg. Mini importation I know of a guy in voronezh he is from Nigeria he cooks and sell.....

If you know ur way u make it in Russia....

is there post study visa in Czech republic?

USA is the best.

There are many low key states here where Nigerians have not flooded and the job opportunities, educational opportunities and business opportunities are maaad!

The Bulk of Nigerians in the US live in
Houston, Texas
Dallas, Texas
Atlanta, Georgia
New York, NY
Chicago, Illinois
Los Angeles, California

My friend recently moved to Nebraska. Very sweet state. He keeps telling me to come over here, because there are lots of opportunities in the state with less competition, as Nigerians have not flooded the state

US na the way ooo

They didn't give you because of your last question.
A. It contradicted the earlier question that it's your uncle Friday that is sponsoring you. It's so easy to see that you lied about the last question. You will definitely not come back because 1. You don't have a high paying job. 2. You couldn't even sponsor yourself, 3. No marriage ties to tug at your heart.

Next time, a better answer will be to say; "I intend to proceed for my PhD to gain true professional height in my chosen career and I ll be qualified to pass the knowledge to others in universities anywhere I choose to apply in the world. Then when I return to my country, I ll come back equiped to set up my own practice.

Sometimes the truth gets you the Visa. Just ensure that you let the VO see clearly that you understand your career path, and you aim for the highest peak in that career, after which you will be sought after worldwide. This way, the VO won't think you want to live and die in their country alone.

If you're migrating out of Nigeria, Canada/USA is your first option, followed by the UK. Anybody who migrates anywhere else is because they don't have the ability to migrate to those 3 countries. Any other countries such as Brazil, Caribbean Islands are nothing more than 2nd options. They're better than naija, but stop comparing them to legitimate G7 nations like Canada or USA. There's level to this. There's no shame saying I have to settle for a secondary country. Comparing a S-hole country like Brazil with one of the world's highest murder rate to Canada? Go and sit down.
This made me chuckle a bit

True sha. Those countries can be used as a stepping stone to better places. A broke poor person in Nigeria continuously struggling to migrate to Canada from Nigeria when he can go to a good school in Brazil like the university of Sao Paulo which is ranked amongst the world's top 100 universities for free work for like 2 or 3 years and then do Canada express entry from there or anywhere else. It's better than staying in Nigeria and wasting away. Those countries would be hard in the future to go to. Germany wasnt a study destination in like 2008 but right now people are struggling to go there. In the future, this easy places like Brazil, Mexico and co won't be accessible for Nigerians at all. Did you think it was difficult to migrate to a place like Canada In 2005. Things are getting worst in Nigeria and things get much worst, many countries will be hostile to Nigerian immigrants.
True that
But I must ask
Those days when I was a guest

You used to be vehemently pro Nigeria
