Nice one. Which POE, if I may ask?

Japh11:

Yeah, it was nice I thank God. The POE is no problem if you posses your ArriveCan receipt, letter of introduction, a form will also be given to you on the plane make sure is duly and honestly filled cause they won't attend to you if you don't fill it before approaching them and don't forget to include payment receipt or print out of the tuition fee you paid because they might require it in POE. Be ready also to answer some questions depending on the officer that attend to you. My own wan resemble interview

Information!!!
Those that are coming to Canada. Endeavour to come with your school enrollment verification and school fee payment print out/receipt. This is very very much important. Without the enrollment verification from your school to show you enrolled for the program, they might refuse your travel. And they also ask for the school fee receipt when before issuing you your study permit.

Quite true , I wasn't allow to board until I got my enrollment letter , about the receipt I didn't need to show that!

Thanks @ JustMellow for the response. I'm a bit confused though, biko no vex, help clarify.

What I mean is, the part of the application form that says have you taken a language test from an authorised blablabla (Yes/No) I ticked No oh. In my first application of September 28th that was refused and in the second one that I submitted on 29th October for which I had already received update that I passed Medical exam on Nov. 20th. I was expecting BVL then Approval and NSE came on Dec. 1st. This GT in question was done since last year September, won't it be termed as inconsistent info? You know the way these pple don't seem to trust applicants, I wanna be sure there won't be any issue of contradiction.

I would have waited till the due date Dec. 31st for them to process through regular channel but I can't cos my program start date is Jan. 4th. That's why I've been thinking of sending them a message via web form ttaching MBS from the 2 banks that offers it plus 12months statement of my hubby's account with a reference letter from the bank for credibility sake and other documents to further support my application. I feel that they will be interested in seeing my hubby's financial flow/history because he's the sponsor.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from now? Please advise.

JustMellow:

If you think the NSE is worth it, the GT would suffice. Technically, you are applying for immigration under a sub-category of SP.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by TeeMade: 12:46am On Dec 06, 2020
Hello Silvamania, i am also very interested in this conversation oh, especially cos it seems you're also going to UNB, correct me if I'm wrong please.

silvamania:

I applied by myself on October

Also . The NSE is not direct now . IRCC will send you an email to that effect. I have since sent the requested documents

Just contact me through my moniker

I think there’s a rule against email and other stuffs here.
Send me a request and we will talk bout the whole thing

Have a great day

Thank you so much @frankrobbn1, this is very helpful. I will take this option for my peace of mind.

@ JustMellow definitely addressed some concerns too. Thanks a bunch, you guys rock!!!

Just one more question, how will I know the responsible immigration office handling my application? Thanks in advance.

And YES! It's gotta end in praise...

Frankrobbn1:

My sincere apologies for the late reply... I trust my fellow capable member (Justmellow) was able to address your questions.

Considering that your Sponsor's bank does not offer the MyBank Statement with ticket ID and password. I'll suggest you inform the responsible immigration office via the IRCC webform and appeal that your application should be processed through the regular channels. I don't think its logical to transfer the funds in other account just to make up the 30kcad.

Let me know if you've any other questions

It will end in praise

Must you pay the full school fees or the termly payment will do? Asking in advance oh because I believe...

Chai!!! God bless you @Franrobbn1. E just be like sey I dey read your mind when I wrote my SOP. At least this is a confirmation that my SOP was well put together.

As always, it will end in praise oh and I will share my testimony here pretty soon by God's grace.

Frankrobbn1:

I regret to hear about the outcome of your application. Given that your application was refused based on your purpose of visit to Canada, I will suggest that you put more effort in constructing a persuasive and concise SOP/LOE that will demonstrate that you're a bona-fide applicant and would depart upon the completion of your studies.

The Letter of Explanation should extensively and convincingly explain the lucrativeness and reasonableness of such program (BSc in Business Administration) in your home country considering it's exorbitant tuition fees. If it is financially rewarding back here in Nigeria that can offest the cost of the program in Canada. The range of opportunities the program in Canada will bring to you as a person. What you intend to achieve in a short-term and long-term basis. Since you claim to have a registered and functioning business, you should clearly state that this business is of utmost importance to you, and going to Canada is solely to advance your career prospects so you could expand your business into a global brand. More importantly, you should emphasize on the difference you will make when you return to your country e.g you being a business consultant in the long-term by providing critical business solutions to multinational companies and government as well as using your business for creation of wide range of employment opportunities for teeming youths in your home country etc...

I hope this information helps. Also, order for your GCMS notes, so we could have a clearer picture about your refusal.

It will end in praise

Well, she’s taken her chances...let’s see what fate brings her way. She’s also entitled to a flight change free of charge; so no qualms.

She’s been favoured once, it can happen again

I am sure I wouldn’t have done that if I read about people’s timeline, but nevertheless, it’s no hassles changing the flight date cos it’s free.
Thanks all the same

Ideally you are mandated to pay your initial semester fees it is after you have paid for your semester you can get your letter of enrollment confirmation.
But I would advise if possible pay the first year.

I am a living testimony to this. Although they are right that you should go for post graduate diploma but I went for ordinary diploma at NAIT and I have been working for 3 years now and I got approved yesterday... just a few tips
1. Make your SOP concise and straightforward, 1-2 pages should be okay
2. If possible pay your first year tuition
3. Build a good bank account.
4. Read more on this thread (I can’t emphasize this enough)
5. Fill your form righteously don’t hide anything.
6. Last but not the least be prayerful

Nice outlined here. I stand With you.
My sister had a BA and I went for a post secondary diploma & not probably a PGD, Tuition was quite high & no Tuition paid. Straightforward refusal. I discovered this after I had deposited & one time wanted to redraw the application but said let God take the wheel.

But to be save, let him/she go for a PGD so we don’t hear if I knew like me. Better fix now than after refusal.
One last thing don’t rush because you want to deposit, take your time.

When someone gets the NSE, is that an indicator that the eligibility review has in a way commenced?

Yeah sure, even the NSE messages reads this: in reviewing your application it was noted that you are eligible for the NigeriaN Student Express!
