The Northerns are substantially more politically aware than the southerners that is a fact that has been well documented by researchers.
They listen to their radios all day, seek and dispel local news and information while the average southerner is indifferent to political matters and is more interested in inflammatory allegations which are unconfirmed and false.

The IDPs had super voting centers and NGOs did a big job of assisting voter registration which translated to voting as we saw.

Voter apathy has never been something in the North
