Karlovich:Bro..national team doesn't work like that bro. There is a reason why Giroud do get call up ahead of other France strikers. In national team, you pick what is best for the team not who is banging goals for his club side. Despite Paul's goals for his club, Nacho will still boss him in the national team. E get why. |

mostob:Giroud gets call up and he delivers, it is in contrast to Iheanacho's own in the SE, in other words Deschamps can count on Giroud to deliver for him, the same can't be said about Iheanacho and even Onuachu. Rohr needs serious scouting work as manager for centre forwards, Onuachu was even drafted into the team for Sierra Leone game after Simon picked up an injury, him listing the likes of Musa, Ejuke, Iwobi, Simon and Chukwueze in his call ups as forwards suggests he likes to deceive himself. We don't have the luxury of decent CFs at the moment like so many countries and so for that reason Onuachu deserves to be called up to the team. |

Kog45:For sure I will also rather pick 10 epl 12 bundesliga 15 French league over a 20 goal Belgium scorer ,I will even pick a 7 Laliga goal scorer But please where are the goal scorer in these league you mentioned ? We no even get 5 goal scorer from these leagues self You don’t neee to rate Belgium league as the league you even mentioned are ahead of them The only player I will gladly pick ahead of onachu is victor osimhen |

andrewbaba44:Picking Onuachu after Osimehn is not the issue but do we keep on inviting misfiring Onuachu based on his club performances. He has been given the opportunities and still yet failed to grab any, hope you remember that Onuachu was ahead of Osimehn at last afcon, have not seen any striker who enjoys this privileged...Nwakaeme a match,no call up again,Kayode few minutes,no call up again. In my previous posts,i brought some critical analysis on how Westerhoff sample his players, club performance doesn't do it alone but player performance in GWG My point is simple,Onuachu am seeing is not better that Iheanacho in GWG if Osimehn is not available |

Kog45:D question is..looking @ nachos record in gwg colors in d last three years shows he's not ready to take dt second choice striker..If we can't b patient with onauchu to click ,den I would rada give a chance to any oda striker we av,d likes of maja, ajayi, nwakaeme, kayode etc to test deir mettle Dan give it to nacho with 4goals in d last 3years with eagles ![]() |

oga Kog the point i think Andrew is trying to make is that even the supposed backups that should be better than Onuachu are not posting numbers that could attract invitation to the SE. whether it's Okereke o! Awoniyi o! Moffi o! Maja o! you name them. Even Kelechi that was recalled leaned heavily on his past exploits in the SE and not so much his current club performances. Why i would encourage not to quickly give up on Paul is the example of Ighalo. remember Odion's performances in the GWG in his first 3 years were next to nothing but see how he turned out. Onuachu still has time to convince let's not totally dismiss him yet. Kog45: |

Samatta tore the Belgian league apart but couldn't measure up in the EPL Onuachu maybe scoring in Belgium but his performance against decent opposition is telling |

People are blaming Rohr but I don't know if Rohr was the one that told Onuachu not to jump for aerial balls and to lose every ball with his bad first touch |

mostob:Giroud gets called up because he links up better with Griezmann and Mbappe who are the star players of their attack. The other options(Laca, Martial, Yedder, etc) can't do the same. Nacho as a focal point just doesn't work. |

Kog45:What opportunities He has been misfiring just as the whole super eagles national team Not that super eagles are playing superb while onauchu was misfiring If you look at the super eagles team right now I don’t think you can call more than 4 players that are doing well for the team |

Subzero047:Check his caps and minutes compared to others player Onauchu is not even a regular Name 5 super eagles players with good form in the national team recently Should we start from the midfield to some of the wingers ? |

kendrick93:true. You have right to to that. Let's just back it up with statistics and all that. We are all here for the good of Nigeria football beside this is super eagles trend. so you should expect bashing. When you back your statement with statistics it makes more sense and allow people to see another angle . Peace bro |

Odunayaw:How many goal has your others players scored Tell me he has been playing 90 minutes He is not the first choice striker Apart from victor your strikers are below par I won’t take people who wrote nwakaeme off with few minutes serious but they will always give excuse for their favorites who have not even been good |

edi287:The bolded is my point. Yedder, Martial and Laca were at a certain time better than Giroud but never get called up simply because they can't fit in. I hope those justifying Paul's inclusion due to his club form will be able to understand this. |

Odunayaw:He hasn’t 8 cap and 1 goal I am sure you didn’t check the minute Anytime you see onauchu in the field you expect him to score You ignore your poor wingers because they are your favorites There have been worst than onauchu the scape goat Onauchu has played 288 minutes since his debut which is not more than 3 games in total But you expect him to Always score A certain fan favorite nacho didn’t score for a full year with more minutes than onauchu and managed 1 goal in about years but it’s normal because of past Glory I don’t like double standard I will leave Ighalo history for another day |

mostob:Laca and martial and not even constitent Yedder wasn’t given the chance Giroud has done so well for France ,thanks to Benzema issues French best defender is yet to have a cap too bad |
