My brother you're right
So he's simply saying when he return back to school, he'll definitely return to his old ways. Not knowing that one can be in school still be committed to God.

With all due respect sir, please don't misquote me.
Studying in school takes a large chunk of my time and no time for Bible studies(quiet time)
That is what I meant by being closer to God and not by going back to my old ways like you assumed. Mr I.T.K.

Hello my fellow students, hope you guys are doing great?
Now, to the point, I know the strike (ASUU) has favoured some people, and to some, it hasn't.
To me it has really favoured me as I have learnt some things and lessons of life.

Some of the things I was able to achieve include,
*How to Barb(you can call me for home service cheesy)
*Certification in public speaking
*Closer relationship to God. E.t.c

N.B: This thread was not created to brag about anything, but at least give hope to other students that they can use any given opportunity judiciously.

Feel free to add yours, the floor is open to all.

please how did you get certified in public speaking

This year didn't waste after all

I perfected my FX trading skills with some advanced online course
I started my book club, picked up interest in French (finished Michele Thomas's beginners and advanced French courses).
Started saving with piggyvest and finally bought some stocks to test my skills.
I equally lectured waec and jamb students earlier this year and most of them did excellently well in my subject.

Last last sha, when school resumes, I won't be going back with that rubbish phone i was using before and I will use part of the money from my safe lock to buy clothes and shoes.

Although I’ve got the skill before (E-commerce) and school wouldn’t allow me concentrate, as I type now, I’m very close to making my first million. Hopefully before the year ends I will.

All thanks to the strike

I've always been curious about programming. Do I need to be a computer science student or a software engineer before I can build an app?

No buddy, just get a laptop and have the will to learn. You can ask questions on Nairaland and Stack Overflow, if you get confused.

Try learning Kotlin or Java, if you're serious about becoming an Android developer.

cool. I also finished Mitchel Thomas Beginners Spanish And Paul Noble Spanish. I loved Mitchel better. Still on his advanced, builders and vocabulary courses. I doubt I'd be able to finish them this year. My Spanish is improving rapidly with each practice session.

Currently working at a fueling station.
Earning some cash.Saving up for a better future. 2021 gatz b good.
I Haven't gotten the resources i need to start learning skills just yet.
Although i really have the passion to be a math pro. When i get a new high-grade smartphone and more cash, i believe my proficiency in Mathematics and Chess will undergo tremendous improvement.
Skills i'm looking forward to learn may begin next year.

Was a 100lvl undergrad in Mech.E before all this strike and coronavirus thingz started.

And i must say,i'm really happy and glad we went on this long break.

And i secretly wish for school to resume febuary.

Fellow chessman.
I'm also a chess enthusiast myself.
But my progress has been hampered by my lack of a good phone.
My lichess handle is ONE_KOBO.
Won't be active for a while though till i get myself a phone.
Then i'll face all Nigerian chessplayers.

Wat fone r u using?
