Guru's in the house, please help me look into my wife refusal. We plan to apply again what do you think we are not doing right. Pls i will appreciate and this is her third time.

Sorry for the refusal, I think the Eco believes you are not been sincere with your financial circumstances,

1. You are spending £1,1k out of your closing balance of £1.9k leaving you with just £800 which is just a lil bit over your monthly salary (in my opinion, I think your closing balance should still have almost twice or thrice your net salary after deducting the money you intend to use for the visit) the Eco expect you to fall back on something after your initial visit since you have not declare another source of income....

2. I think you should reduce your budget when next she is applying, and declare the other money that enters the account as other source of income,

Pls my opinion though I might be wrong but I'm sure other guru's will help you, and if I may ask, HOW MUCH DID YOU STATE ON YOUR FORM WHEN FILLING HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND EACH MONTH, AND ALSO HOW MUCH DID YOU EARN MONTHLY AFTER TAX?? ✌️✌️

Thank you, I've been seeing the comment about not using business account and I've been wondering. I used business account and personal account and visa was approved. There was no specific salary payment either. Anyways, I guess differnt VO with their different opinion and ofcourse they will have to check other circumstances .

I honestly don’t know where people got that misinformation from

This is misleading. I really don’t know why you keep peddling this misleading information,
One can use business account to make a successful account and you don’t need to pay yourself salary

Just to buttress your point, I have applied for a friend and his family members with business account and it all came out successful. Visas will start reading but 12th of this December.
As mentioned no big deal, be comprehensive enough with your application and you get your Visa easily. Best of luck.

Good afternoon nairalanders.
I’m back again

I applied for my dependant’s visa, I want to upload the documents for the tls appointment, but tls contact is showing ‘this token has been taken’

This takes me out of the original page as if I’m just about to apply.

What can I do please?

This is frustrating.

Good morning gurus in the house, please I booked a flight for virgin atlantic in two weeks and I have the follow questions
1. Is covid test needed
2. Must hotel reservations be paid for before departure to avoid issues at the point of entry
3. While filling my application for the visa I claimed to not know anyone in the uk which is true because I planned staying in a hotel until recently a family member popped up and asked if I could bring food stuff for her, will this food stuff cause a problem for me since what I filled is staying in a hotel and not knowing anyone ..ps the food stuff are actually much and could fill a whole 23kg bag
....
Thanks for the good work you do here .. God bless you all.

What kind of family friend is making you bring foodstuff worth 23kg? A whole luggage of foodstuff.
Better dnt go and get in trouble incase u get delayed and ur luggage searched. U will explain if you are only visitin for a few days or your brought foodstuff to last you for sometime as you want to overstay your visa.

As for the change in address, it depends on the discretion of the border officer.

Some ask, some don’t ask but if it’s your 1st time you better be careful.
If you hve to use this ‘family friend’ that just popped up get your story right as to how they just popped up.
Dnt go to POE with fabrications.

There are hotels that you can cancel upto few hours before the flight or last last you forfeit one night hotel pay than getting urself into trouble.

U should book a return flight for your parent as long as it is a visit so you dont risk them gettting turned back at the border.

To the best of my knowledge this is just a flimsy excuse which I believe you can tackle and win. Kindly send a detailed mail explaining the education system in Nigeria especially the ongoing ASUU Strike, pandemic and endsars which hindered smooth educational system. Explain there is no possibility of abandoning over 5years of sweat studying so as to over stay in UK. Search for the email addresses to send the mail to on this thread, I can't flip through not to miss these points. If it was me, I will state all this without any reapplication till I am justified. No time to waste money. Remember I went through route of denial with flimsy excuse, addressed with them and was granted.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can shed some lights into the refusal below.

So we have applied for my step son to come visit for Christmas. He has never applied before, was never interested to be honest. He is currently un Law School, cue to famish in May 2021, resumption date is 4th January.

We supplied all the information to prove this in the application, enough funds and every other requirements met. The VO has said even though he agrees that he is in school, he notices that the school was meant to end in 2020 - obviously Covid has extended this to 2021, and we attached the resumption date details and all to the application.

I feel they have just found a flimsy excuse to deny him and I am seriously considering getting in touch with UK Visa themselves but just wondering if anyone has any advice? Like how else are you suppose to prove the extension of study if not the official resumption letter from Law School and all which was attached.

Thanks

Is the 14 days isolation still effective because I have booked my flight putting into consideration the 14 days and extra 9 days for my vacation.

Also, after leaving poe and submitting the locator form(indicating hotel address) , can I cancel my hotel reservation and change to homestay with a friend or relative. Are they still checking if people still isolate for 14 days. My plan is to change address once I pass POE, so as to save cost and do the test.

Gurus in the house please help.

Yes you need a return flight if the person is a non resident. You might book a one-way and get away with it but it's at the discretion of the ECO. To avoid wahala book return, if you aren't sure when the return will be, make it as further away as possible or keep it open.

1. The UK doesn't require a COVID-19 test. I don't know if virgin airlines does.

2.DO NOT GIVE A WRONG ADDRESS IN YOUR PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM!

3. You don't have to stay where you filled that you will stay while applying for visa. I for one have never stayed where I filled as plans change and life happens. It's not our business (POE) how many kg of food you are bringing as long as what you are bringing isn't contraband.

4. Please stay with your family/friend if they're willing to accommodate you. IT IS NOT A PROBLEM TO STAY IN A DIFFERENT ADDRESS THAN THE ONE YOU STATED WHILE APPLYING FOR VISA.

5. BUT YOU SEE THAT PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM, JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE STAYING AT THE ADDRESS THAT YOU STATED THERE.

It doesn't matter. As long as you are being truthful at the POE.

You could have recently been reconnected to them, you might have been keeping malice with them and just made up etc. Also no one has the time to review your visa form at the POE. Just be honest with your intentions and fill your locator form properly.

So misleading. I know people that were turned back at the border after going into questioning room and visa forms were opened and they were sayin a different thin at the border as against what was on their form. Dnt say this please.
U just hve to be truthful at the POE. That’s all but they do check if they want to , which one is nobody has time. U should also be aware that it is at the discretion of the border officer to grant entry, say u get visa no mean say u will enter.
Not everyone with visa is granted entry, facts.

I will give an example.
Braided attachment is not contraband, someone I know carried so great a quantity cus she wanted to go sell them there. From border officer she went into secondary questionin and her bag was searched. This alarming number of hair attachments opened doors to more questions.

Although she claimed she defended herself, the border officer still had her deported bcus according to him she was coming for business and work which are against the rules of the tourist visa she filled. So pls dnt rule out people’s experiences sayin no one cares what u are carrying as long as it is not contraband.

They care if they want to!!!
