Do they have enough space in their cemetries? What measures have they put in place to prevent grave robbers who dig up skulls from desecrating graveyards?

I see this as a ploy to boost their skull mining industry and you supporting them , you re a bonafide skull miner. angry

Leave dead bodies and the owners of dead bodies alone and concentrate on major issues of positive and effective governance

Chief??! Is he a god??!... When the state is serious about the health and safety of their citizens, the law will take effect. Any family that can't bury their late chief outside in a cemetery, can refrigerate or eat the corpse. Mtchewww!!! undecided
I was discussing this matter with someone a few days ago. This culture of turning residential yards into burial grounds, I find it very unreasonable. You enter some compounds, you are greeted with three different graves. I am still trying to trace the origin of this practice.

If families do not want to bury their loved ones in public cemeteries, they can acquire a piece of property and designate it as their family burial place. This is better than bury relatives all over a property, and still rent it out for businesses and residency. It makes no sense!

This is a very good development
How can people's compounds be filled with graves in this 21st century... Are the whites foolish to have cemeteries?
Have u ever been to a cemetery?

If u go to a compound with graves, no one will force u to enter d compound or trannsact business there. For d families involved, it makes sense. It doesn't need to make sense to u.

These people don't fail to amaze with their peculiar brand of foolishness.
It's either they are copying foolishly or enacting laws s tupidly.
How many cemetaries are in Lagos State?
I know some council areas have just 1.
In a state with an estimated 10million population, let's assume their are 500 deaths per day or even 100,where are the spaces to bury 36,000 corpes per year in the cemetaries?
Even Muslims that bury their corpses within 24hours or so are the logistics available to handle such hurried burials.
Of course this is another edict enacted after a inhalation of cow dung manure.
D govt sits down & begins to chase after irrelevances while there are more pressing issues. Agberos have been a public menace in Lagos but d govt is more interested in how people bury their dead

I wasn't talking to you. That many people practise a culture doesn't make it sensible, acceptable or safe. You can turn your house into a graveyard, I don't care. But it is a disturbing cultural trend that needs discarding. Thank GOD for Lagos state government which is always ahead of other states in formulating thoughtful policies.

Sentiment is turning this country into a huge mass of horrible mess. Renew your mind, dude. In the past it wasn't so. Cemeteries were built for a reason. Unfortunately, a generation that claims better education is shamefully going backwards.

If u weren't talking to me, are u d one being buried in people's compounds? If no, then what right do u have to condemn d practice as u feel I don't have a right to counter ur claims? Can u personally vouch for d cemeteries in Lagos? What is unsafe about burying people in family compounds?

How is burying a loved one in a family compound a disturbing practice? What is thoughtful about d policy as enunciated by d Lagos State govt?

Who told u that in d past, there wasn't d practice of burying people in family compounds? Where did u get that from? Can u pls tell me how many public cemetaries u have in Lagos since this is a Lagos State govt policy? Can those cemetaries adequately meet d needs of d entire Lagos State? What has burying a relative in a family compound got to do with education?
