@bolded we scored 10 goals in four games and we conceded 7 in the qualifiers. That's not an attacking problem but a game management problem. And this has been happening under Gernot Rohr, against Libya we bottled a two goal lead, same against Ukraine. The problem Is not in attack at all but with the coach cool

When u consider the number of defenders that are invited every international break,it gets more funny...

Not just about earning caps and fading off. But forming a new core. Transition has really gone back over a decade. The qualifiers method by CAF also contributes it own quota. A big issue is repping at the WYC which is one of the most important but now all history.

Well some might bring the Noisy neighbors talk...Ghana that year, but progress should be way vivid than than.

You're right about the structure. It's should be a normal by now. That being said....

A couple of players in the current Super Eagles set up represented at various under age levels so it's not that bad. But we definitely can do better.

As for CAF, I've given up on that confederation. They seem to be getting worse. Instead of them to ensure a qualifier similar to that of Europe at least that will enable the age grade team play during international break but na lie. Worse part is the zone by zone qualifiers, just so that they can reduce spots that'll go to the west African countries and give to the other zones who mostly won't qualify with the precious qualifying format. Las las the Representation at the WYC will only get worse

They are playing to his strengths. He's more comfortable with them than he has ever been with us.

However, I know this may sound unpopular.
But, I think we have an attack problem, it wouldn't be out of place to have Ighalo and Victor Moses back with the team of they are available.

No they actually involve him in their offense and he is a focal point like a striker should be. We don't need anybody back, we need a new coach.

Russian Premier League side CSKA Moscow are rivaling Turkish giants Galatasaray for Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru, according to reports.

MilliGazete claims that Galatasaray are in pole position to sign the Monaco winger but face competition from CSKA Moscow.

The Lions are in the market for a winger ahead of the reopening of the transfer window and the Super Eagle has emerged as a priority for manager Fatih Terim.

The report added that Onyekuru has informed Galatasaray chief Abdurrahim Albayrak that he wants to return to the Istanbul club, paving the way for his agent William D'Avila to begin contract talks with the Lions.

The former Eupen star has had two different loan spells with Galatasaray, scoring 17 goals in 57 appearances and won the Super Lig and Turkish Cup in his first full season with the club.

Onyekuru has been frozen out of the Monaco first team picture in the new season, making four appearances in the French Ligue 1, the last of which came against Stade Rennais on September 19.

The 23-year-old has a contract with the principality outfit until the end of the 2023-2024 season.

As long as SE doesn't have traditional Wingers in the form of Finidi that can crosses the ball, Paul Onuachu will be inefficient for Super eagles. We either have to find good crossers or search for another replacement for Osimehn. Iheancho seem comfortable playing 2nd fiddle to vardy

Both teams know a draw would be enough both to qualify. And Ghana are already through. It will likely end in a 0:0 draw.

Chelsea Academy product Ola Aina has won the Premier League Goal of the Month award for November 2020.

The Torino loanee has entered the history books as the first player with a Nigerian passport to win the prestigious accolade since the award was introduced for the 2016-2017 season.

Aina's spectacular strike against West Brom on November 2 fought off competition from Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez, Leicester City's Jamie Vardy, Southampton duo Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse, Brighton & Hove's Solly March and Leeds United's Raphinha to claim the prize.

Thirty minutes in at Craven Cottage against the Baggies, the Super Eagles right-back doubled Fulham's advantage with a wonderful strike into the top corner - his first goal in the Premier League in his seventh appearance.

Aina is the third Fulham player to win the Premier League Goal of the Month, after Jean Michael Seri and Andre Schurrle who won the prize for August 2018 and January 2019 respectively.

Aina’s goal was chosen by a panel of experts combined with a public vote, beating seven other contenders.

Everton coach Carlo Ancelotti has lavished praise on Alex Iwobi ahead of his side's English Premier League meeting with Chelsea at Goodison Park on Saturday night.

The Nigeria international has been used in attack, midfield and defence this season which has been highlighted by the respected Italian football tactician as he spoke about the versatility of the Hale End Academy product.

Iwobi shone as a right wing-back in the 3-2 win against Fulham on November 22 and the following weekend he was deployed as a left-wing-back before returning to a right wing-back role in his most recent game vs Burnley.

With fullbacks Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne not available to face Chelsea having failed to recover from injuries, Iwobi could continue his new role as a wing-back.

Speaking to reporters at Friday's press conference, Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Liverpool Echo : "I think when Iwobi is fit, he can play everywhere.

"In this moment I have a lot of confidence, because his physical condition is really good".

It would be Iwobi's 136th appearance in the English top-flight if selected to face Chelsea.

He has faced Chelsea ten times in his career - winning five, drawing two and losing the others - and scored two goals.

IFK Goteborg have confirmed several clubs are interested in signing Alhassan Yusuf, but they expect the star midfielder to stay.

Yusuf has continued to be linked with clubs in the Premier League as well as in Belgium after another solid season in Sweden.

“There has been interest in Alhassan for a while, and then we do not comment on how concrete it has been,” Goteborg sports director Pontus Farnerud told Fotbollskanalen.

“We know that there is interest, but it is always a long step to it leading to something concrete and a sale.

“We expect him to start training with us in January.”

Farnerud further said the club are not under pressure to sell their best players after they barely escaped relegation this past season.

“We do not need to sell, but it depends a bit on what we as a team want to do and what direction we want to go before 2021, and what opportunities and conditions we have,” he said.

“But we are a selling club and are open to discuss when there is interest in our players.

“At the same time, we will not just give them away. It is about looking at the market value of each player and making the right decision about it.”

it is amazing how Mukairu has entered the starting 11 in a short period of time.

I can't remember Moses Simon been part of that team.
I can still remember watching this team's first competitive game at the U-17 qualifiers and I fell in love with Muazum (I thought we had another Kanu Nwankwo) but it's unfortunate he hasn't lived up to expectations.
Then I could have sworn that Isaac success was another Samuel Eto, whatever happened to that guy.
At the world cup, Awoniyi was presented with a golden opportunity after Isaac success's injury, he grabbed the opportunity, he could have been Osihmen Senior, but then it didn't happen.
The team also had other quality players that didn't shine.

Awoniyi did well in Belgium and he is getting back to form in Unioun Berlin.
In fact, he has two goals and two assists allready
Muazum at least is in Portugal first division and he is playing regularly.
I will like to see him in a friendly for Nigeria to check out if he is still good.
He has played in austria and in the champions league before.
Isaac success is on a 6 months injury and should go back to spain from England
the others are in the portuguese second division and it is bad but not too bad.
But Awoniyi will come good this season. He is picking form and will make it.
Too many loan moves from Liverpool affected him as he was loaned all over Europe

watching Anderlecth vs genk at the moment

and all i can see is that Onuachu cannot play alone up front. He looks clueless and lost whenever he is played as a lone striker. I believe that has been his issue in the super eagles.

I don't know why this genk coach decided to play him alone up front today, but it is definitely not working out.. He is this type of one-two player... He can't hold the ball at all, so he thrives when he has someone to quickly pass the ball to, he moves into good space, gets the ball back and scores. His finishing is actually top notch.

The coach had to bring in Cyriel dessers late in the second half, to assist him up front.

I believe a combo of Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen should do the trick in the super eagles... Victor could be the key to unlocking the beastly form of Paul Onuachu in the super eagles. We can't have such a deadly finisher and leave him to rot, just because he can't play alone up front.

Paul must have paid you guys to keep promoting him here. As long as SE doesn't have good crossers, then Paul is pointless for SE. We need to try another striker in the absence of osimehn i.e maja, kayode and iheancho. Paul has gotten numerous chances and hasn't impressed
