Na everywhere for abroad. To success in abroad, sacrifice and hard work are required to have a decent life there. And it also takes time to get the decent life sef. But hope still dey for hustlers there. I would always advise anyone doing great not to enough think of relocation because na like start from scratch. Basalt: |

klawaaa:Yeah, you are actually right. If you are doing great in Nigeria, no need relocating abroad. I only came here because I was frustrated in Nigeria and earning very small. About 30,000 naira in a month. But coming here, I regretted not coming earlier. Its really not easy here I must be sincere with you especially if you are in a technical university like me but if you are hardworking, you have absolutely nothing to lose because you won't only get education, you will get money and skills. I strongly advise people to come to Germany for education only if you are smart, law abiding and hard working because every action you take here has consequences. Germany is a law country and if you are not the law abiding type, please don't dream of coming here, they will mess you up. |

Basalt:Bro compliment of the season. I am also an undergraduate student of Geology in a public University in Nigeria. But I wish to further my master program in abroad, I will be glad if u can be my mentor on it. I've tried messaging you through your email, but you've already made it clear on your signature that you don't have access to it again. |

@ Basalt How many hours of lectures were expected to receive in day before going to your part time job as an MSc. student? |

Just look at this screenshot. That is the number of new remote job for some tech outside of this country with good salary. Compare it to the one from Lagos. This is just remote and not full time. There are similar numbers on indeed, glassdoor and all. In the white man's country, there is a very good job for you all.

Citygal:It depends on the number of courses you register for. German educational system is very flexible. Everything totally depends on you. You can decide to do 7 courses if you don't want to work much, you can also decide to be taking it slowly like I do while making money and improving your language. I registered for only one-course last semester and took a full-time job together with another side job sef because I needed to raise millions for a project in Nigeria which I have done by 60%, this coming semester, I plan to register for 2 courses to finalize the project. If you register for many courses, then you have to reduce your work to pass the courses very well because education here is tough. One lecture usually lasts 40-60mins a day, and you might be having it like two times a week depending on the nature of the course, then multiply it by number of courses you register for. |
| Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by Basalt(op): 1:26am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Karleb:you are right. And you have to qualify for the jobs to get it. |

| Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by Nobody: 3:46am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Basalt:At the bolded, don’t you think the slower you take your courses the more semesters you will need to finish all your entire courses and the longer your students visa will be? Abi how does that work? |
| Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by Basalt(op): 4:57am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Citygal:Exactly. You are correct. The slower you take your courses, the more semesters you will need to finish. But remember unless you are in information technology field, they will likely demand German language skills before you can get a professional job in Germany and you only have 18 months to get a professional job after graduating. So my main priority is not to rush and finish but to make sure I develop myself in the language, academic skill and money even before finishing my studies. So far, I thank God for his blessings. I'm already in B level now in Deutsch. If your family is rich or you are under scholarship, then no need working much like I do. Focus on learning the language and finishing your program, but if your background is not rich, you will definitely work for money and when you do that, you will not go as fast as you may want because you can't serve two masters at the same time. |
| Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by Nobody: 6:05am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Basalt:Good, na working sure pass. Do you then extend your student visa to commensurate with the extra semesters? |
| Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by jamesy212(m): 6:29am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Basalt:I'm confused at the bolded. I thought as a student, you're allowed to work 120 days full time in a year and 240 days half. Since you took a full time job, how are you able to balance that? Does that mean you will have to stop working at a certain time during the year so as to not go overboard your work limit. Please do explain when you can. |
| Re: DON'T LISTEN TO Anyone Who Discourages You From Travelling Abroad by Mcslize: 7:07am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Basalt:This is quite flexible. And in Nigeria universities, a lecture span through 2 to 3 hours. Anyone who has ever passed through Nigeria university should be able to cope very well. Cuz the second name of Nigeria universities is stress, especially those running engineering courses. Ladies do turn to men there. |
