Hey ppl here, I have often wondered why girls n young ladies hiss at men instead of greeting them respectfully d way we were brought up to treat elderly ppl

It's not an omen. Though it could be seen as a sign of disrespect.

Something must have prompted the hissing. If an old man does not respect himself, he'll be disrespected.

I did the same thing two weeks ago and this was why. I was coming back from the butchers" and there's this ederly man thats always sitted in front of one cathedral that I always greet each time I pass through the cathedral.

So, two weeks ago, as I was passing, I heard, hey, oyinbo! I kept going as I already saw a group of guys. Only for them to continue shouting oyinbo. As I turned to look I saw the Baba trying to get up, I got angry and turned to continue walking then I heard the boys saying, " come, na chairman dey call you", na chairman" i didn't know when i dropped a super-sounding hiss and increased my pace.

So, if an old man decides to drag himself in the mud, he'll get served.

Another real life experience, went to a shop to buy a gadget, my focus was on the shop owner o, after politely asking the man if he had what I wanted to buy,

Immediately a lady (probably working class) who was already there before I arrived at the shop, standing beside me look at me from head to toe, then let out a the loudest hiss I have ever heard!

Very shocking, it was obvious na devil send that lady. I kukuma carry myself jejely comot from that shop. Kai!
