Unnecessary tears.
You already know that if you're entering a religious private uni there will be strictness and discipline.
No one forced you to put in CU in jamb.
It's their code of conduct.
You already know that going to chapel is compulsory so why the tears?
If you can't stand the heat, leave the kitchen.
The issue is that Oyedepo spoke against police brutality during the EndSARS protests whereas he mets out the same in his school.

That is hypocrisy

NihiIist:
Had a couple of folks who graduated from the University. That man na zero nonsense man. Like someone said, forget what you see in/fr canaanland, Shiloh and the likes. If you want to see the real Oyedepo, go to covenant university. The man goes about campus looking for the next scape goat and he no dey hear "sorry sir" or "abeg sir" . Same man that preaches forgive and forget. Any small thing na expulsion, if you get luck , suspension and if you get more luck, he go just curse you and tell you to go grin

Many students are usually expelled without even facing a disciplinary committee. Even if you do, it's a waste of time coz it will never favour you.

Despite all this, you dare not complain or protest else you're a goner. Most CU students actually live in fear and oppression. The man is more of a ruthless dictator.
na so the so-called men of god dey behave. Proudly supported by their holy bible. They always cherry pick the areas that favour their (financial) goals and ignore the rest

Aremson14:
How will people who are trained under this condition cope with life after school
they become docile adults who take whatever BS life throws at them in the name of the lord

sreamsense:

Olodo! That is what we are saying; spoilt rat! You were born without iota of morality. Did the school just decided to expel you? Why did you choosed to be disobedient child? Is it not the same rules and regulations that are their for all other students like you to obey?

Why did you do otherwise and choosed to be Judas Iscariot instead while other students obeyed simple rules that became torn in your own flesh? If they lack morality in your own home and your parents failed to teach or show you morality; and you grow up to see abnormality as normallity; sorry, CU will have to do extra work to bring morality to your senses.

If you don't want discipline, do the right thing like other well behaved students or tell your parents to withdraw you to where they lack displine. Church can't compromise standard because of over spoilt child like you. Ordinarily in UI, which is a federal university, a final year was asked to repeat a year for wearing jeans (and not corporate dressing) during his final defense and nobody changed it.

Discipline is not the end of life, is to make you come out as better person if you change your way for better, otherwise, you harvest the opposite later or sooner, then, you will understand better why they don't want you to choose way of perdition
As a parent, how would you feel if your child tells you the expulsion was because he/she did not take a bible to chapel? The problem with you religious folks is that you keep supporting absurdities and call it blind faith. The day you agree to use your head is the day you would realize how you have been deceived and stolen from in the name of religion. Let me assure you, if you don't realise this, your children will.

What this guy is doing is simply oppression. If not for the disastrous government we have, NUC should have threatened the school already. Don't ever allow religious or political sentiments influence your sense of judgement.

One of my guys was expelled while on vacation. He was gyming so he was sending photos of his progress to someone. He went to school for something, a supervisor (or whatever they are called) searched his phone, entered his whatsapp chats, and saw them. He said it was "NUDES".

The problem with contemporary young generation is that many of you were born into your families when morality vacated your family homes. Being strict is different from being wicked, he is discipling you as his own children so your future can be better, you are here ranting he is wicked.

Many of you just like places you will not be tamed so that you can do whatever you want like forming cult groups on campus, turning campus to Olosho house. If he is not strict and people still allow to do whatever they like, these spoilt rats will still come back here to complain and cast aspersions if any bad thing goes wrong with the school. Go to Catholic schools and see descipline, you these spoilt rats.

Your fathers get money, but lack morality, so when your fathers finally dumb you into CU as correctional center, you begin to misunderstand 'strictness' to ' wickedness' because your fathers failed to even show you '101' of moralities before you left for school because your families lack moralities in the first place. If you like to become wayward and hates descipline, no need of going there, go to federal and state universities and do what you like. Judas Iscariots!

Somebody is sweating to make you great, you call it wickedness! Spoilt rats! Go to volatile areas in North and ask for the meaning of wickedness!

All this uncouth children only making mouth online

I graduated from CU, I behaved myself throughout by abiding by the rules and regulations, all of you be making it seem like the simple rules is an Herculean task,

If Oyedepo insults and curses, and it doesnt affect you, why bother? Will he start raining insults unprovoked? Only the guilty will lament just as those twitter people are doing,

It's simple, if you can't cope, pack your kaya and go, those of us that completed our 4 years course and graduated peacefully don't have two heads.

I will never forget that day. I was in cafe2 with my friends on our way to EIE to browse..
He threw the Microphone on pastor Intia that day.

Those of us who were in Covenant University from 2009 na we see shit pass.
Chaii
if bus 5 no carry you REVO go burst your room, or medical bus go pick you for drug test.
After that Easter incident we still had the
5/11 aka El Classico aka MFM (Muyiwa Fadugba Ministries)
We still had the Bible issue again ohhh.
Chaii, I would never forget the day they came with busses to pack us for drugs test around 2am.
The day VC Obayan caught me and my girlfriend coming out of CST at night holding hands. Knowing my mum was a lecturer in another school she insisted on calling her, my babe was going to her office every two days for counceling she didn't forward the case but she gave me hell..
The that time Paul Hall and Joseph was were asked to write the book of Luke by the dean then Muyiwa Fadugba. Me I was lucky I was a Wing rep..... If you can be a badt guy and still make it out of Covenant University clean You can survive in most prisons in the world.

Useless thread.

No one forced you to attend the school.

Covenant University is what it is today because of the high standards upheld by David Oyedepo.

All the people calling him out, would rather the school is a place where anything goes without repercussions.

Where sexual recklessness thrive
Where exam score are purchase
Where campus cult thrive.
Where petty criminality is the other of the day.

God has used David Oyedepo, to put his feet down and ensure that doesn't happen and if it happens, it only happens by error.

God bless him.

NAIRALAND is openly anti Christian.

There is a difference in conduct, and this identity is what makes Christians stand out. To go to a Christian school means you act as required or you are disciplined.

You are confusing dishing out unnecessary torment to the defenceless for discipline.

I have witnessed the kindness of religious hypocrites and idiots first hand, that's why a lot of people come out of religious schools hating religion.

they will say when you are in room behave like the Romans. If you are in convernant University behave yourself till you graduate.
It's just like my hostel in Nsukka then. Catholic female hostel this who went to UNN should know it.
If you come in that you are interested, the chaplain will first of all give you the handbook to go home and study before you pay hostel fees. He said he wants you to be sure you can live here so that you two don't start having issues tomorrow.
Some parents will come and dumb their spoiled daughters who can't even flush the toilet and expect chaplain to kill himself.
If you cimmmit, he will tell you to go and bring your hand book. He will tell you the page to opne and read out the crime and it's punishment. If it warrants you eakving the hostel within 24hrs you will. Some people bwilm stay few months and start complaining while many of us still stayed from first year till we graduated.
Most parents bwho send their kids to such university do so to see if something good can come out of the alert spoiled child. Because we all know there are still peot who went there and weren't expelled or suspended.

Lol that hostel at Behind Flat. That place is not for the faint hearted to be honest.

Beating a child can never change that child but will only make that child hate you very much. Just simple sitting that child down and talking to him can change him that instant. If a senetor does the same, he should be recalled from the senate.
If a police man slap you, #endsars#
