What about Sim cards identified with Nigerian passports, is the Nigerian International passport not legal tender? If you delegitimize the Nigerian International passport, be ready for law suits.
I would suggest linking the BVN to sim card as the best. Although National ID are issued as fast BVN and international passports.
Remember there are covid 19 pandemics and you push person rush

Biometric data in the hands of private entities is considered safer and arouses lesser suspicion worldwide. Once the govt is involved, the tendency for absolute power to corrupt absolutely is amplified almost immediately and that creates a monstrous problem. Look at how they used CBN regulatory power to frustrate endsars donors. Once the have your VIN tied or linked to your NIN, they can discriminate against those who voted who in election when doing welfare schemes for example so that question of the limit of its use must be properly defined.

There's a way you can hide the real identities of voters in this case, you know?
All the system needs to do is verify the authenticity of the credentials provided, without necessarily exposing it.
That way, you can't actually know those who voted for you or not. You only know the number of votes you have. It's that simple

Yeah, with all that now, we should be able to pick our voter's card from any bank, telecom operator's office, NIS offices, etc. Underage voting can be dealt with easily and disenfranchisement in area of voters registration will stop. During voting, voter's NIN or NIN must be written on each ballot paper, then we are getting there.

With this, we can vote from any part of the country; and not necessarily having to travel back to the place where we registered in order to cast our votes.

There will always be the need to travel long distances, queue up and face stress to do anything in this country. The Nigerian system is specifically designed to make life miserable for the citizens. Go to any bank to withdraw from the ATM for example. There'll be about 6 ATM in the bank, but the bank would make only one or two functional because they just love seeing Nigerians queue up to do the simplest of tasks.

Hey, Not all the people in power are dumb. They know how to source for capable hands but will never because of corruption. The road safety on the road is aware you got to have driver's license to drive but he is only interested n bribe collection. The police will say bond is free but will never let you go for free. Likewise the leaders are familiar with technology and its importance to effective national management but because they all have different ways of stealing from government, they will shy away from it.
