Video of Celebrity hairstylist, Destiny’s shop tossed over by his landlord has caught the attention of Nigerians and is quickly going viral.

According to Destiny, he has worked in the shop for the past 5 years and has never owned the landlord until the outbreak of COVID-19 that led to the lockdown of the country.

He said the closure of shops during the lockdown period is the reason for his inability to pay his rent and his landlord is not buying that as a reason thus why he destroyed his shop.

In the video, the shop was tossed upside down with most working materials destroyed.

It is simple. They will calculate what he destroyed and use his tendency money to replace them.

If the tenancy money doesn't cover all the things he destroyed, they will sell his shoes and clothes to cover the remaining cost.

That was how one of my tenant that was owing me for over two years claiming he can't even feed his kids bought a new generator that is three times bigger than mine, got a court order and had him evicted, dude even got new furnitures, imagine living large in an apartment he is not paying for

It's painful when tenants don't pay rent but never take the laws into your hands

If the reason given here is authentic, then, the landlord has acted foolishly and ignorantly; ignorant of law is not an excuse at law court. Now that his shop had been destroyed, is it now that landlord will get his money?

Even though I can equally feel for the landlord who may have depended on such money to meet several needs of his family or settle other bills, but, what he did is not the solution. He should be ready to add court visitation to his 2021 event calendar and pray for His defense team lawyers to tear his pocket with mercy and God's fearing because he will surely pay more than he bargained for financially.

He should have respected the law of Lagos on tenancy acts and controlled his temper no matter how painful it is. Now the shop owner will use this to market himself now to raise funds and enrich himself. Wait for eye services from politicians, entertainers and even government who always like open show like this to show that they are responsible

I am owing my landlord too but the man is quite reasonable and understanding and knows that I don't normally owe him, things just get as e be now.

I don't keep mute and pretend as if I don't owe him, I always talk to him about it and assure him that once I get the money I will settle him first.
Thank God for an understanding landlord.

Serves the tenant right.

If you can’t pay rent wherever you occupy, return to your village and develop your village.

Don’t occupy someone’s landed property without paying rent and ask the landlord to go to court in order to eject you from the property - you are wicked for doing that.
