Share reconstruction. 4 to 1

If you have 1000units, you will get 250units after reconstruction.
1000/4= 250

Now,
The nominal price will be N2 instead of 0.50k

Calculate your risk.

1000 x N1(current price)= 1000

250 x N2(new price)= N500

Are sure this is current?
Why use current market price(#1) in the first part and the new nominal price(#2) in the second part?
If you want use nominal price, use nominal price and if you want to use market price use market.
So I think using nominal price:
1000x0.5==N500
the new
250x2==N500.
Can even predict what will be the market price after the reconstruction?

I could also be wrong or my maths could be wrong.

You only talk about the nominal value, what about the real value of share after reconstruction?
Your calculation is one-sided if I may say.

Do you know the Market can adjust the price below N2 after reconstruction?

I experienced this with C. I Leasing.

That would be in the course of trading but initial share price calculation after reconstruction will definitely be more than the nominal value amount.

Learn to calculate your risk as an investor.

if you buy

1000 @ N1 = 1000

After reconstruction, you will have
250units @N2 nominal price =N500

To break even, the market price must be N4 and above.

Well anything can happen

The price will start from N2 and might go up or down.

But anything less than N4 is not profitable.

This is the way it is.

1,000units will give a bonus of 2,428 units at a ratio of 17 for 7. The total units will now be 3,428units when this is now reconstructed at ratio 4 to 1. the new units will now be 857units. As I have projected if this 10% madness continues till Dec 31, 2020. The price will peak around N1.94 and the reconstructed price will be N7.76 at January 1, 2021.

The price cant stay below N1, they may push it above 1.50, or around the price it was......before the bonus announcement.
Anything to make the share reconstruction worth it.
I want to believe that some moneybags are here with intention to make profits too.
This is just my opinion.

since when has there been bulls anyway? Is it not this few days and for few select stocks. NSE has lost its glory and boisterity. Can no longer support many ambition. Imagine those bullish stocks they are praising now has crashed some people in recent past. So much inconsistency. Insurance recapitalisation has been shifted over and over again for the past several years till now its been one story to the other. They introduced 1kobo per value yet they still can't follow through even uptil now. That would have seen half of the lazy crooks gone, but no they succeeded in bribing their way to halt the whole process. Right now the market has thined out with very little activities

When the economy has been decimated, what do you expect from the stock market, the market isn’t even deep for the largest economy in Africa. The market survives on the banking sector

The price as at today is N1.01. If the reconstruction was to be effective tomorrow. The opening price will be N4.04 and the par value of the stock will be N2 from 50k and the 3,428 units will shrink to 857units. I hope this is clear Sir.

Are you implying the Market price will be automatically multiplied by four after reconstruction?

I know the nominal price will be multiplied by four, from 0.50k to N2.

Well, I hope your prediction is correct, it is good news for us all.

But Sir I think C.I Leasing didn't change their Nominal price from 0.50k when they did reconstruction. MTN was 0.2k (not sure) Nominal value when they listed at N90. Mansard on the order hand is increasing Nominal value from 0.50k to N2, the effect of this to the price after reconstruction is what I believe @rebekah2011 is saying. 0.50k x 4 = N2. Automatically the price should be times 4.
