of course on social life Lagos is number one in Africa

That's why anyone that wants to succeed in the entertainment industry in Nigeria always makes Lagos his or her home or second home.

Ibadan is not really a city for those that enjoys a robust social life.

On everything progressive. Mind you, I am not a fan of Lagos. However, I have been to FCT, Rivers and Akwa Ibom- states that can give Lagos a run for their money, but then... Lagos still leads and others follow. Anyone arguing this fact probably likes giving people headache. cheesy

Driving through Ibadan:

By the way, someone once tried to compare Ibadan (Oyo) with Lagos, I thought he wasn’t okay sha. I still think same. grin

you spent just how many hours in Ibadan and you just concluded Ibadan should not be compared to Lagos?maybe only in the social life Ibadan cannot be compared to Lagos..come spend the weekend in Ibadan after the holidays and you will be amazed and want to live here..You cant even come to Ibadan from now till Janaury as there will be no difference in Lagos, that is why I am inviting you to come for the weekend after the holidays

Btw.that government house has been built since the British days..Awolowo ruled the SW from there..current governors since 1999 do not live there.

Like I told you earlier, you only visited a tiny portion in ibadan and formed an opinion on the entire ibadan cheesy

Ibadan still houses the best university in Nigeria and also happens to be the first (progressive thinking) cheesy

Rivers, Akwa ibom and Abuja also enjoy development because of crude oil money

Although not a single state in Nigeria can give Lagos a run for its money in terms of entertainment in Nigeria.

Use google. Ijebus are everywhere

The guy you quote is correct.

Oyos.
Ondo/Ekitis.

you see those two are all SW states in large numbers.

Ijebus are actually the Igbos of Yorubas in terms of Business, I give it to ijebu and Egba people

Pocohantas, take a trip to Ondo next time cool.
And BTW, Oyos, Kwaras and Northern parts of Osun, eats Amala wellaaaaaa

How did you arrive at this conclusion? Half of Ogbomosos are travellers (go to the North), Ejigbos stretched up to Ghana and Ivory Coast, Oyos are everywhere (Ghana/Togo/Benin/North) same with Ondos. Yorubas are generally well traveled though not as extensively as the SE people.

You're correct bro.

Are the indigenes of the Ijebu subgroup or Ijesa subgroup?

lmao
ijebu is a subgroup of the Yoruba people found in Ogun state while ijesa is a subgroup of the Yoruba people found in Osun state. ijebu jesa is just a town in oriade local government, one of the local governments that makeup ijesaland.

Having been to gombe and Jos, I noticed that but we might not be correct.

But if we look at SW, Ijebus and Egbas are into more business (followed by Ibadan I think) than Any Yoruba subgroups.

And it has been from memorial.
