Can PTE or TOEFL be used in lieu of IELTS?

I don't think so...in my letter they specifically said IELTS
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Akupuncture: 8:24pm On Dec 23, 2020
I collected my passport today with my visitor visa stamped. Was refused 3 times. After the 3rd refusal (which was very senseless), I hired a lawyer who challenged the refusal in court in Canada. Immediately, IRCC lawyer made us an offer to withdraw the case in court, and that the decision would be sent back to another visa officer to review the application. It was very expensive hiring a lawyer, but the end justified the cost. Now I am looking for a cheap ticket to Canada. Any idea where I can get a cheap ticket?

Please can PTE or TOEFL stand in lieu of IELTS?

Also, how soon can someone get IELTS result after writing?

They specifically asked for IELTS, so I'm not sure anything else will be accepted.

I heard if you write the computer based IELTS , you can get your results in a week or thereabout.

Goodluck!!

Something like this would suffice - “I have a saving account of about XXXXnaira with XXXbankname".
A financial table breakdown would help. They would be able to see your turnover from the account statements you would upload
demure178:
When writing you LOI, should we state the turn over of the bank account? Please. I would need the answer or just the account balance?

They are well aware of the IELTS you submitted, seeing that they didn't ask for it but it would do no harm to upload it again.
Provide your 6months bank statement with 12months history and reiterate in the webform that you have paid your tuition deposit. Add the deed of gift documents as it would serve as support to the 27kCAD statement.

Good afternoon gurus in the house please i got NSE message today but they only requested my bank statement for 6months with 12months banking history. I dont have 30k cad only 27kcad and have also paid 6k cad tuition deposit. Shud i reprint the my bank statement from june to december and upload or i need to send it to the embassy?
2. Can i attach my gift of deed letter alongside again as well as sponsorship letter? Or just upload the mybankstatement alone? Did upfront medicals yesterday although they didnt ask for it. Also i submitted ielts initially with my application

Top of the day gurus in the house,
Pls I need ur expert advice on this....

So due to financial constraint I intend applying for a 1 year postgraduate program. Within the one year in Canada I should be able to raise money for a 2nd postgraduate program.
Now my question is what and what will be required from me when applying for another student visa for the 2nd program...

Thanks

Hello gracevien,

You need pretty much the same documents you used to apply for your initial study permit. Please be sure you can raise the amount within that time, as students are only allowed to work 20 hours per week.

Best wishes

RxOtunba,

I’m a bit confused with your figures, if you can state your total available funds properly, I can analyze it better.

As for company account, I don’t know. I think generally people should avoid it. Except you’re trying to use it to prove something

Best wishes
RxOtunba:
My 16th months living expenses of $14k will be transferred into my personal account like a week before I submit my application and first semester $9k fees will be paid too. Remaining expenses will be like 9m, and I plan to submit my dad's personal acct with 10-11m balance. Should I also submit his company acct or only the personal is okay?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by RxOtunba: 9:05pm On Dec 23, 2020
After paying $9k deposit, remaining tuition and fees = $27k
Return ticket. = $3k
Living expenses =$14k(My dad will put this in my personal acct 4.2million naira). My dad's bank statement will have a balance of 10m-11m

Hello Evergold,

Thank you for this very useful information. After sending out the email, do you have any idea how long the process will take or if any other thing needs to be done? I saw something about raising a webform but it wasn't very clear to me.

If I got you correctly, you need 27k + 3k + 14k = 44k At bank rate that’s already 13 million Naira.

Hello sirromey,

You can withdraw at the airport ATM machine with your Nigerian bank card.

I used my Naira First bank card, I withdrew 80 cad. They charged 1 cad to 325 Naira, took 3,000 Naira for charges and 225 Naira for VAT.

Best wishes

This is the best o

Congrats on your approval.

But I am not sure non-student visitors are on the list of those exempted to travel to Canada during the pandemic so far. You can get a "cheap" ticket if you buy several weeks ahead and off season. I got one at Wakanow for 280k (without covid-19 test or date change fees) but such tickets are often non-refundable.

Cheers.

Provide your 6months bank statement with 12months history and reiterate in the webform that you have paid your tuition deposit. Add the deed of gift documents as it would serve as support to the 27kCAD statement.

Its 12 months bank statement and the balance should be able to cover atleast 6 months of school’s tuition and living expenses

The cheaper, the more rules attached to the ticket.

Hello everyone
I’ve being trying to applying for a masters program in the university of Calgary
Succeeded in opening a portal but now they’re asking for my UCID number which I don’t have and literally don’t know anything about.
Checked out their FAQ and QNA section but there was nothing helpful to me there.
Sent them a mail asking a more enlightenment on how to go about the purchase of it but still no response and time is going..
Pls I need help on this.

I have a 2:2 and I got my masters admission to University of Toronto. You can get in if you have a strong application. You need a good statement of purpose and work experience in the field you want to do the Masters in.
