I download the rom from Redmi 8 thread, look for the thread and do the same then update manually...

Settled for getting the Redmi note 9 tho. Was a bit skeptical about the MTK chip, but I think the G85 will do just fine

I don't think, the redmi 7 will get the miui 12..
Some of miui 12 features were included in the android 10 update...
