Students Abductions: Buhari Responded Better Than Jonathan - Adesina by ogododo: 11:58am On Dec 25, 2020
Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, has said the regime of his principal, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), acted quickly during Dapchi and Kankara abductions while the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan was tardy in its response to Chibok abduction.

Adesina stated this in a piece on Friday titled, ‘Enemies Of The Country Will Lose Las Las’.

In the piece, Adesina compared the response of the two governments to the three major mass abduction of students that have rocked Nigeria.

Gunmen on motorcycles had abducted over 300 schoolboys from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State. The incident occurred on December 11, 2020, the same day Buhari visited his home state for a week-long private visit. The schoolboys eventually regained freedom after six days in captivity.

The Kankara students’ abduction is not the first in the history of the nation. Non-state actors had in the past abducted hundreds of secondary school girls from Chibok, in Borno State; and Dapchi in Yobe State. Some of them eventually regained freedom while a number of them including Leah Sharibu are still detained in the enclaves of their abductors and sexual abusers.

While the Kankara (December 2020) and Dapchi (February 2018) abductions occurred during the Buhari regime, the Chibok abduction (April 2014) happened during the Jonathan administration.

Drawing comparison, the president’s aide wrote, “Now, while there are similitudes between Chibok, Dapchi, and Kankara, the significant difference is the response by the different governments in power. When Chibok occurred, the then Goodluck Jonathan-led government demurred. They balked. They said no abduction happened, and that it was an attempt at negative propaganda by the then party in opposition, the All Progressives Congress, to get power.

“By the time government wisened up, the abductors had gone far, and the trail was cold. They couldn’t recover the girls, not until the Buhari government came a year later, and a large chunk of the hapless abductees were brought back. Some are still unaccounted for till today.”

Adesina further stated, “When Dapchi happened some years later, the Buhari government behaved differently. It swung into action, went after the abductors, and through a combination of deft factors, the girls were brought back. Except Leah Sharibu.

“With Kankara on our hands, despite the strident cacophony of the market, President Buhari kept his cool, and went to work. And the needful was done. The boys were recovered after about six days in captivity.”

He lambasted the #BringBackOurBoys campaigners, who according to him, suddenly went underground after the release of the Kankara boys.

Adesina said while Kankara boys were still in captivity, the campaigners had printed ten million T-Shirts and were warming up for a mass protest to remove the All Progressives Congress from power.

“If #Bring Back Our Girls brought down a People’s Democratic Party government, then #Bring Back our Boys must also undo the APC government,” he wrote, adding that the #BringBackOurBoys campaigners “lost their voices particularly on social media” when the boys were released.

“They vanished after the boys were released. But instead of admitting final defeat, instead of throwing up their hands in surrender, saying that this government was smarter than they thought, they became like Janus, the mythical creature with two faces, and began to speak from two different mouths,” he added.

“God is interested in this entity called Nigeria. Most times, we live dangerously, but He always pulls us back from the edge of the brink. Those who hate the President for no just cause, who wish evil for their own country, are just injuring their own souls. They will fail las las, and become gentle by force,” Adesina concluded.

Isn’t the Buhari that’s doing the abduction?

He can be what he want to be

He can abduct himself and demand ransom or chose to free himself. At this point any Nigerian giving a fvck about Buhari and the APC government don’t give a fvck about his own life.

Stay focus my people

So it was staged to score this cheap points.

Buhari is dealing with familiar Bandits, Jonathan dealt with Nobel, strange Political Bandit.

Two governors (Zamfara and Kastina state) has direct contact with this bandit through Amnesty program, ( yet no arrest has been made to date) but Jonathan used Foreign Negotiators, so he was not familiar with these boiz.

Chibok Girls kidnap came when Kidnappers nominated GMB as chief negotiator so who won't read political meaning to the kidnap.

Anyways, congratulations on your one step ahead of Jonathan rather than the Bandits

He spreads egregious lies. His standard attitude as Buhari’s publicist and propagandist is one of hardened ignorance, foolishness, and cowardice.
http://saharareporters.com/2020/04/23/deacon-femi-adesina-shameless-sanballat-bayo-oluwasanmi

Look @ the kind of propaganda a so called deacon of a church is dishing out on a Christmas eve.Gloating about an unfortunate poorly scripted and excuted kidnapping incidence wherein children are being used as pawns in a political chess game.

He cant even fathom from Garba Shehu lies that these kidnaps have raised more serious questions than answers. https://dailytrust.com/kankara-kidnapping-and-matters-arising Even the high graded zombies have stop their ignorance on this platform but for this one, he cant just stop defending nonsense.Too bad.

Femi, there is a saying that "if you that is talking is stupid, those listening to you are not stupid." The real enemy of the nation is the clueless but lying government Adeshina is serving and it is already in its Waterloo.

Were they supposed to be kidnapped before? Meaning you lots were happy it happened.Imagine the idiocy in gloating over an unfortunate incident like this wherein young boys were being traumatized in their political chess game?

Hmm

DISCLAIMER:I am not a Buahri supporter, I never voted for him, I will never vote for him, APC has failed, so if you quote me to abuse me, you are just speaking to the wrong person. I also don't like the PDP either....both parties are the reason for our suffering...and the sooner they get voted out the better)

1.The BUhari government has done 'well' in responding to kidnappings of students' so we can comend Adeshina for that....unlike the PDP under whose watch Chibok happened, and before Chibok, two massacares of over 50 students at all boys schools, and kidnap of some....and who PDP instead of doping something about it blamed the North and Buhari for the trobule.

Now the same PDP supporters who blamed Buhari for the crisis when he was not in power....are now blaming Buhari for the crisis when he is in power. To then Buhari is some sort of bogeyman.

It was the PDP's poor response to chibok that made me no longer support them (I already did not like Buhari...because as stated earlier...you do not use 1984 methods for 2015 matter.)

2.Having said that, Adeshina should please keep quiet.

They were voted on an agenda of changed...in security. Instead, we have gone from Boko to Boko and herdsmen and bandits, and more problems.

Plus, yes the Chibok, Dapchi and Kankara kids are mostly free...but what happens to their kidnappers.? Walk off free....with some money into the bargain.

And what have we done to reform and improve funding for the police.? Is the police ready to fight the bandits and Boko? How about the Army?

APC has issues. They should start improving their response to the insecurity...before we get tilted into anarchy.

N.B: You can quote me to disagree with me. But if you abuse me, or curse me, or threaten me, I will report you to the moderators. In making my comment I have abused no one, nor cursed no one. I see no reason why you should do so to me.
