Guys please I need your opinion. So my sister in law is also planning to travel to the UK in January. She hasn’t paid her deposit yet but she said she has started counting her 28days. She also said the school agreed to give her CAS regardless of tuition fee. I have started counting my own 28days and my closing date is 22th of January. Now she said she wants to use my statement of account to send to her own school and she would tell the school she kept the money in my account: please is this even safe? I dont want anything to jeopardize my chances of getting visa. Do people do this and get away with it? Like use someone else’s statement of acct as proof of funds? |

From my time here on Nairaland, the answer to this question is "its not possible" only her parents or legal guardian can can give her an account statement , else the money must be in her account for that duration of time(28days) Dramaqueen12345: |

Dramaqueen12345:If she truly a serious student she should know this is not allowed in UK... you cannot use any other person bank statement other than yourself or parents |

A new dawn has just begun. Thanks to all great contributors and moderators of this special thread. I've been an active-silent reader and observer of this thread in the last few months and have been patiently waiting for this part 5. I am planning for next year September MSc intake and looking forward to a smooth sailing with the wealth of knowledge this thread has to offer. The intending schools are UEA or University of Essex. Update February 6th, 2021 Decision changed to schools in London. Currently under considerations are, UWL, UEL and UWS (London Campus). |

Samoludayo:1. Affordable is a relative term. Check online, Zoopla, Rightmove, Onthemarket, etc. and see what is available in your intended location. But it is not easy to get accommodation as a newly-arrived student with no previous history in the UK - strongly advisable you rent temporary accommodation such as Airbnb for at least 3 weeks. 3. This is a question for your bank(s) in Nigeria. Obviously you haven't yet applied for a visa. |

Preshy2004:Yes IELTS UKVI is different. Don't mind them with their nonsense. The same body, the same exam but different name under different condition. With IELTS Academic, majority of other schools will accept her, even with WAEC. |
