How many working days does it take to receive collection mail after decision mail?? Received decision mail on 21st tracked it and its showing "sent to DMC" is this normal ?

Kemkem93:

Yes IELTS UKVI is different. Don't mind them with their nonsense. The same body, the same exam but different name under different condition. With IELTS Academic, majority of other schools will accept her, even with WAEC.

Honestly, I am just confused. And I have made a deposit. Also I saw the same thing online that they are the same ielts. I don't really understand this school.

They said for medical school she needs it. She has a B2 in English in WAEC. And now she has has L 8.5, S 7, W 6.5 and R 7. Overall 7.5 yet they are saying she wrote the wrong IELTS. Hmmm so exhausting

Dramaqueen12345:
Guys please I need your opinion. So my sister in law is also planning to travel to the UK in January. She hasn’t paid her deposit yet but she said she has started counting her 28days. She also said the school agreed to give her CAS regardless of tuition fee. I have started counting my own 28days and my closing date is 22th of January. Now she said she wants to use my statement of account to send to her own school and she would tell the school she kept the money in my account: please is this even safe? I dont want anything to jeopardize my chances of getting visa. Do people do this and get away with it? Like use someone else’s statement of acct as proof of funds?

The school doesn't accept Waec or Neco as proof of English?

Preshy2004:
Pls who has experienced this? My daughter wrote ielts academic on the 28th of November. And the result is out. She got 7.5 overall. Now the school is saying she wrote the wrong ielts that she should write another one which is ielts for UKVI. Pls who has experienced this.

Her resumption date is 5th of January and the school is telling her to book another exam is ielts academic different from ielts for UKVI?.

Some schools request for ielts when your waec or neco is more than 5 years some don't care but will accept like that.

Hello everyone. Random question here but I would appreciate help. Please can one bring in powdered milk into the uk? I know palm oil is not allowed, what of vegetable oil. Thank you
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by mimilyrics: 12:37am On Dec 26, 2020
No, you can't bring in milk from outside the EU and Switzerland as the only dairy products allowed are powdered infant milk, infant food, and special foods needed for medical reasons.
I don't think you should stress with vegetable oil as this can spill; a 5-litres bottle of vegetable/sunflower oil is about £3.50 - £4.00 at Iceland, Morrisons and most other stores.

I'm not sure as I haven't tried travelling with it across borders and it isn't explicitly mentioned in the guide even though it makes references to plant based products.

Milk should be the least of your worries. If you don't like bottled fresh milk, you can buy Nido online from Amazon in 6 - tin packs at 18 pounds, which is good value. Don't bother about vegetable oil either - it's palm oil you will have to source when you get to the UK, if you plan to use it.

I can't tell really. You'll have to calculate theirs separately.

@sandradee, mimilyrics and just wise, when kids are below 18 years, how do you calculate their IHS? Is it along with other applicants above 18?
Secondly should the main applicant calculate separately from other dependants?
Please I need explanation.
Sandradee, how did you calculate for your kids, since you already got visas
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by ekaita: 8:12am On Dec 26, 2020
Go to UK Govt website, there is a link there ...i think under the student visa page that you can use to determine your total Ihs bill for you and your dependants.it will ask you a few questions and then automatically calculate your cost.

Dependent is dependent and not age related when it comes to IHS or maintenance allowance. It the same fee / amount

You can get those things here, or substitutes.

Please is it that HND holders cannot get admitted to MSC programme in the UK ? Someone should please help with a list of schools that accept HND for either Post-graduate or direct MSC. God bless you all
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by mimilyrics: 11:06am On Dec 26, 2020
You shouldn't bother about these things as they are easily obtainable here. Haven't seen bournvita in a long while but milo is aplenty, you can get in African stores and some grocery stores like Iceland and Tesco at around £3.50.
If you don't mind substituting, you can try Morrisons 400g hot chocolate which gives Cadbury chocolate (400g for about £3) a run for its money even though it's cheaper at 95p. You can also try Stockwell chocolate from Tesco (375g at 88p) which is good but not quite as good as the Morrisons and Cadbury chocolate.
Don't waste your luggage space biko.

A program is a generic name for an education course. It could be a degree (undergraduate, postgraduate), a short course, certification etc.
