That's sad, people should try to sort all that before getting to the airport.
How was your flight?

So, I arrived on Dec 26th. I am very tired. Since I am not on study permit I don't think there is any reason to write full gist. I may add the pictures and videos I took to photos and link them here later.

The procedure to get your work permit is pretty much alike to that of study permit.

Good morning and happy Sunday.
I submitted my application on 30th November.
Had my biometrics on December 8th. After the biometrics update, there have been no other update. Those that submitted after me have been given the NSE letter.
Should I be worried?

Good day house,
I did my biometrics on the 14th of October to complete my study permit application. After confirming my biometrics applicstion. I haven't heard from IRCC and it's slightly over 2 months aftersubmitting my application. What is happening? Isn't the processing time supposed to be 8 weeks? I need the gurus to advise me on what to do as my school is resuming on the 25th of January. Should I defer the admission? But my worry basically is why is it taking longer than expected. Thank you

3 months to the start of your program is not bad, you can simply tell them you want to know the city very well before your program starts, as you won't have that much time during studies. But you know going 3 months earlier means more money to he spent, so make sure you have enough cash to cover all that
Good morning mcobex,

You talked about more money to be spent for the 3-months. Apart from the $10,000 CAD i have with me, I have a Family Friend (My Dad's Colleague) that I would stay with (a PR holder) and would cover for my expenses (mostly for feeding & accommodation) for that less than 3-months period before I resume in Sept, do you feel that can suffice?

Also will I also be explaining this to the CBSA officials or they are only concerned with the legit/genuine reason why I came a bit earlier before resumption date ?

Thanks

Good morning and Merry Christmas to everyone.
Please I want to confirm if a local government can serve as a sponsor to apply for a study permit? If yes, please what are the necessary documents to submit for the application? Thank you

I don't know your reasons for going 3months earlier though but I would suggest you think about it well some of these officials are not lenient enough to listen to your reasons and would be like a desperate move they don't mind turning people back na USA even worst pass so please give it a second thought and however you can't even start to work before the start of your studies so you would likely be sleeping and waking up every day doing nothing cuz they won't allow you to work before your start of studies so think am well ooo flight money nor be small money one month before is ideal and understandable to go before your resumption date but 3months or 6months is very risky
Thanks for the information & enlightenment.

Actually my intentions is not to work.
I have some certification & training (which is closely related to the program am going for)I wanna do, most especially online but low availability of Power Supply & Poor Internet in Naija is not making it go seamless for me

I will try consider some factors before crossing the I's & dot the T's.

Am also trying to consider July 2021 aswell.

Thanks

Covid has had an effect on processing time.
There are October and September Applicants who haven't gotten any update until now. If you have the option of deferring, I'd advise you do so to allow you ample time for other processes.
Goodluck.

Mehn I had this problem too. Wrote mine on the 14th. Had to call ielts and ask for my tracking number. Then called UPS to ask if my package has been sent out for delivery or it’s still with them because I saw there was a delay when I checked. Then I had to go to their gbagada oworonshoki office to pick it up. Tiring process
