In her shoes I would contact the high commission and let them know.
Maybe also try NAPTIP.
And I'm surprised the high commission gave them visas
without a consent letter from her, and that the airline too allowed one parent to travel alone with 3 children on visitor's visas (red flags) without making further enquiries. He must have forged those apparently.

I have a cousin who is a nurse here. Her husband and children were living in Nigeria. The man died a few years back and she came back for the funeral, then her children came to live with my mother. When she came to collect them a year later, I took them all to the airport and the BA people insisted on seeing evidence that she had the right to travel to the UK with the children alone. She showed his death certificate and all that, but the airline staff asked to interview the children separately ("Where's your daddy?", etc.) and she was only allowed to go when they confirmed the narrative. Later on, the BA lady told me that they really allowed them to go because they were on settlement visas.

My brother, This story get as he be.

There are usually three sides to a story,

- the wife’s version
- the husbands version and
- the truth

What do you think would make a man abscond with 3 kids?

You are right. There are three sides to a story.

However, that last line isn't necessary. Nothing, absolutely justifies a man kidnapping his children without his wife's consent. No matter what the woman did, it's wrong for the man to just carry children and fly to the UK.

Lol.
I agree that there are different sides to every marital story. More than the 3 you mentioned even, there are also the following:
- mother in law on the wife's side's version,
- the mother-in-law on the man's side's version,
- the live-in sibling[s]-in-law's version[s] and even the househelp is entitled to a version as well.

But in this case, we're dealing with the hypothetical situation of what to do if one parent took co-parented children out of the country (to the UK in this case) without the other parent's consent.

Why they did so is beyond the remit of this exercise.

That’s why I said we don’t know the exact situation. We are only replying based on the one sided story that was posted.

You can’t say nothing justifies it, sometimes in life, you need to make tough decisions.

This sounds like people who become Internet Fraudster can be justified because of poverty.
No, crime isn't justifiable no matter how you try to twist the matter.

Even if the woman has been physically assaulting the man or she has been a bad wife, it's not enough reason for the man to wake up one morning and carry all the children to the UK. Heck, he didn't even send a text to let her know that her children are in the UK.

Not sure about your fraudster analogy in relation to this lol but it’s safe to say we have diverging opinions on this matter.

Anyways that’s their problem. They will be alright.

That really can be heresay and not true..... maybe she should get a lawyer to write to British high commission lagos. They would have record if visas were issued, whether they would share that information is another matter

There this Nigerian couple in UK I know , wife went to give birth in America and decided the man was a horrible husband (although he really was angry) but no evidence and refused to come back. The guy contacted Us embassy, got lawyers involved and the case it was decided she kidnapped the kids and the kids were returned to the man ... she didnt return to the UK but the two kids were sent back to the man ... maybe your friend can read this and get some direction on what to do

https://joelbrandes..com/2012/06/uzoh-v-uzoh-2012-wl-1565345-ndill.html?m=1

I just read it and all I can say is WOW! I can’t even see clear evidence that the Husband was horrible. If someone stole my children I’m not sure how I would behave. Some women get mind sha.

Since I know both personally I can say the man was truly horrible .... however our naija culture of be quiet, just manage and bear it makes women not report some things openly . Instead we keep quiet and our mental health pays a serious price for it and makes you take drastic action once you been pushed to your limit ..... I guess both ways as well because some men do suffer shege in their wife's hands

Merry Christmas my people. Has anybody switched from a dependent visa to a student visa? I’d like to confirm the requirements. On the .gov site, it says if you’ve been here for up to 12 months, the proof of maintenance won’t be required. Has anybody gone through this route and can you confirm the process and requirements? Thank you.

It’s not really peculiar to Nigerians though. But all the same it’s fine. Thanks for replying

I understand the pain of this woman, but she needs to thread with caution so as not to jeopardize the advantages this kids will have over there compared to what is obtainable here, it won't be nice for this kids to get banned from entering the UK based on if their dad lied about the consent letter.

The children didn’t apply for the visa and lie, so they can’t get banned.

I applied for a job for which I was qualified. II was told I can only get hired if someone from the UK (4-in-1-Country), or from the EU (27 + x) is not interested in the job. It means no matter how good I am, the fact that I am from Nigeria means I can't get it unless the advertiser proves that no EU or UK citizen needed it.

The reason I voted LEAVE in 2016.
The reason I would have voted LEAVE (had Corbyn et al had their way for a 2nd referendum).

Brexit = Level Playing ground.

You’re absolutely right however i have a different opinion.

You look at those jobs and believe that they assess their candidates as UK, then EU then Nigerian (if none of the other two are interested); I look at those jobs and see only two options: EU first then Nigerian (nonEU) candidates.

If the African Union was working well, would you like to know that almost all the jobs that Africans can do are being given to China, without first checking other African countries (thereby NOT empowering the African continent)? So I get their sentiment for checking the other EU countries before us.

There’s also a second thing to note: being part of the EU made UK economically viable for English speaking migrants (I know a lot of business people that picked UK over Canada for ease of doing business + travel within Europe). Now that they are out, I don’t know how “fertile” the UK may be.

So yes as a non-EU migrant of course brexit is in my favour but I try not to let my selfish emotions tower logic. Again, I’m guessing- the UK may thrive excellently from 2021.

If you didn’t say this I wouldn’t have believed that the woman was abused. She worked with victims and could see the trauma, yet she did nothing with hers? That’s why I assumed the judge was right to have dismissed her claims. It’s like being a doctor, seeing people die of covid and still refusing to wear a mask.

When you select a provider as the previous poster advised it might take up to 2 weeks for them to set you up.
Till then get a free 3 no-contract data sim and buy an unlimited data package for 35 quid for just one month (I think their unlimited data has about the best price when I checked for my recently arrived friend earlier this month), if 3 has a good network in your area. When your broadband's set up, you retire the sim.

Simple.

Go for smarty they are very good, if you don't finish your data by the end of the month they will give you a discount in your next topup, basically you are only paying for what you used
