Nigeria is a illiterate Republic and the people are illiterate. All of this white elephant projects which the government is do left right and centre if you look at northern part of Nigeria most of the rice Mills are operating at 20% capacity. White elephants everywhere in the country this is what they borrow loans for. Please ask yourself where is the rice in Nigeria with their heads men's and kidnappers roaming around the farms in all areas. We have so many oil refineries they are not operating we have so many Steel factories they are not operating we have so many rice meals in every part of Nigeria they are not operating what is the use of borrowing international loans and spending it on white elephants

You're the chief Mrs MuMu! 20% capacity Who told you that and where did you get the stupid data to back your claim? Just mention 3 plant operating @ 20%, I challenge you!
You're one of those idiot buying Nigerian rice in a foreign bag because you don't believe in yourself that you can be useful to yourself!

TWENTY FIVE MILLION divided by 12 is 2083333

2,083,333 bags per month on the average, sounds Ok to me if there are indeed rice plants / farms

But what's the probability that the mill will operate ! 100%
Heffalump:
With the population figure of over 200m people, Nigeria will still have short supply of rice locally cheesy

Knowing how cruel Nigerians are, this will never reduce the price of rice.

Look at cement. Nigeria is the largest producer in Africa and a bag is almost 4k.
The government in Nigeria has been hijacked by few cabals to continuously impoverish the masses. r

Extremely correct Nigeria is the largest producer of cement in Africa but the price of cement is the most expensive in Africa. Let me give you a example the reason is they borrow money for all of those cement infrastructures now they cannot pay back the money so the people are left to pay the money on a bag of cement this is what I am talking about with this white elephant projects they will borrow money the project cannot pay itself back then the price of rice will be three times the normal price per bag

At one person to a bag for three months,
2.5m bags of rice will go round adequately for only 625k people, that's out of the 200m + people in the country.

We still have a long way in going for food sufficiency in the country.

Let me inform you what it is the harvesting period for rice production is at 80% three months after the harvesting period of rice in Nigeria production Falls to 25% what do farmers start planting again that is how it is. Only when it's time to harvest the rice there is food production in the country once the rice season has gone the factories just shut off and start importing rice

Its not a matter of being the largest in the world or anything; Can it cause the price of rice to reduce? Will there be adequate stable power supply? Can effective hands manage it?
This reminds me from the terrible noise about dangote refinery.
Current finance minister : it will not reduce the price of petrol, international benchmark for petrol will be used.
Nigeria is a country you will hear all sort of bragging only to realize the problem is yet to be solved.

Before building white elephants what the government must try to do increase production of rice from the farmers. You do not build an industry when there is no raw materials to feed it

Only terrible noise that does not make sense.
Which country in this world that will have 3 refineries in this world, highest crude oil producers in Africa, top 10 crude oil producers in the world yet to refine crude oil into petrol na wahala on top of that one of the most terrible shithole in the world.

MORE OVER, DANGOTE JIGAWA RICE MILL IS THE LARGEST IN NIGERIA
Dangote rice mill is the largest rice mill in Nigeria, Once completed the mill will have a capacity to process 16 tonnes of paddy rice per hour. The company estimates the mill will process 14 billion naira worth of rice per year, bought directly from the farmers in Jigawa at market rate.
Dangote Rice Ltd. started the out growers scheme with thousands of hectares of land in Hadejia, Jigawa state, creating over 10,000 jobs to farmers.
“When the planned six mills come fully on stream, will achieve a capacity of 700,000 tonnes per annum of parboiled rice, which will make Dangote Rice the largest rice producer in Africa. The company has engaged about 20,000 out growers who are expected to produce an average of 180,000 tonnes of paddy rice on about 30,000 hectares of land. Jigawa state mill will be able to process at least 260 tonnes of rice paddy per day.
Dangote will purchase 14 billion naira paddy rice annually from Jigawa farmers & will produce 1 million tonnes of quality parboiled rice.

Even if it's 90 Trillion we are satisfied with this milestone bcs many state government have spent more on elephant projects with nothing to show for it

Ask NDDC to account for billions of allocation they received for year 2020

They have looted everything dry nd no one ever bother to hold them responsible so let's learn to appreciate those who have something to show for the masses
So you think this project will reduce the price of rice in this country?

Produce the damned rice first before starting to claim being the biggest mill in the universe... I don't know why some people feel they need to drag some utopian positions.. Biggest refinery, longest runway.., tallest drum in the world, first TV station in the universe, bla bla bla bla bla, now this! Produce rice for the people to eat first! That's what matters..
