This is why the ibo man will not achieve anything in Nigeria with their politics of hatred, look at what PMP constructed for the yorubas because they supported him, but to IBO man once you mention buhari you are enemy of the east. IBO man change ooooo
is that an excuse for sentimental governance?

Driving takes 1hr 30mins at least the last time I was in Ibadan 2017..local transport cost 1100 or 900 naira....Most train riders would be those interested in photoshoot, since the train doesn't even guarantee early arrival
Oh well
.

Very true

It is hard to see how they can maintain the trains not to talk of repay the loan from those fares and so one questions the economic viability of passenger trains
Maybe they should just focus on the commercial movement of goods
Moving passengers by rail will be a backdoor subsidy for the rich WITH BORROWED MONEY

WHICH TRAIN DID THE IJAW BORN JONATHAN BROUGHT TO THE NIGER DELTA REGION?

He was busy serving other regions at the expense of his own people.

Ijaw man should learn to get sense!

Their mumu too much?

East West Road Jonathan did not take it serous till he lost second term.

NOW THE IJAWS ARE FIGHT AKPABIO OVER NDDC Position when they had all the time to get the best for the Niger delta region during their Jonathan government.

dont mind Nigerians celebrating mediocre.

Nothing gained; it takes longer to get to Ibadan. It cost more to get to Ibadan than via road transport, so what makes it better?

Most new train tracks mean that trains travel at below their optimal speed to allow tracks settle. Eventually you will get 150- 180 kmh.

There are many people who will take trains over their personal cars. I certainly would.

grin pls don't carry this enter 2021 else you might end up being a stand-up comedian.

If it is because of regret it will be the two hands on the head.

But if it is because of surprise and enjoyment it is only one hand. grin like the man is doing.

The major challenge Ibadan people have with this lovely but expensive train service is the location of the train station... It is not in a strategic location at all. Moniya is almost like an outskirts of Ibadan
True. I wish it gets to Mokola, Dugbe, Iwo road or even Sango self. Buh all in all it's a good development. And this will bring about development to Moniya and will hopefully gets to Ojoo too. And don't forget the proposed dry port is also to be in same Moniya and Oyo state govt has also ventured in some major estate project (Proposed) in same Moniya. Watch as Moniya turn to a metro from mere village.

Yeah...you are very correct.

I do hope they will speed up the activation of the other stations. The Dugbe station is very strategic for Ibadan residents.

Dugbe station can not be activated because the station track are not standard guage. The route for the new Standard guage pass through Moniya which will link the track down to Kano.

So the best place to construct the new station is Moniya...Do not worry, Moniya will soon turn to Dugbe. I was told Dugbe in the late 60s is just like Moniya...

You people shouting maintenance culture should please shut up and do away with this disapproving mind set about the progress of the country. How depressing can you guys be, so Nigerians don't deserve good things? There are many public infrastructures that are well maintained if the govt is committed to it, and this seems like one of them.

U must find a way to condemn. Thats a relaxation mode. Chai.
