Dear house,
October 9 applicant here.
I requested my GCMS notes on November 24 and it came in today. Gurus kindly advise @Frankrobbn1 @Lekiboboe @Chocs @Akannitommy @ConradAce @Legacyedition @MzMisty and others, kindly advise. See attached screenshot of page 1&2 of GCMS

Kindly interprete

They've not started your eligibility check as of the time the GCMS notes were generated. You've finished admissibility and that a good thing. If you pass eligibility, you're good to go. Just be hopeful.

If they've started it now, you can only be patient to hear from them or order another GCMS note.

LANDING GIST

The Canadian government has also been calling to confirm that I am adhering to the self isolation plan, such an organised country!

That's interesting. No one called me or any other person I know. This must be a recent development. Congrats on your successful landing. Vancouver has a better weather than other parts of Canada (and it rains a lot there). It's also quite an expensive city to live in, but I'm sure you already know that.

Big congrats to your cousin. Please did she get AIP before medical request in November? You response will help someone.

Meeny123:
I cannot thank you guys enough. Especially for the Abuja VFS heads up.

Timeline for my cousin, who got her passport today.

1)Applied on August 6
2)Medical request on November 23
3)Medical done at IOM Lagos on December 7.
4)Medical passed on December 12
5)Passport request December 16
6)Two-way courier was sent through DHL on December 18 (a Friday)
7)Application was received on Monday, December 21 and sent to IRCC on the same day
coolDecision envelope was dispatched from IRCC on Wednesday, December 23
9)Decision envelope was received by VFS Abuja on Thursday, December 24.
10)Contacted DHL to know if they are picking up packages from VFS Abuja, they said yes.
11)Shipment was put on hold because of the holidays. But it was shipped into Lagos on Saturday.
12)Today, Tuesday December 29, DHL delivered around 1pm.
13)She leaves for Canada next week.

Applications are never the same. What worked for A may not work for B. Do your best and leave the rest to God. These entry officers no dey check everything. I think they just apply discretion.

Never give up. IT WILL END IN PRIASE.

Hi,

You application has passed normal processing time , what you have to to do is to send Webforms and Mails to IRCC offices most esp. Kenya & China IRCC offices, then send mails to other IRCC Offices as well telling them you got a Medical Request, did and passed it, and since then you haven't heard from them, and that your application has passed normal processing time.

All you need to do is in the links below

How to send Webforms & Mails to IRCC offices if your application has EXCEEDED STANDARD/NORMAL PROCESSING TIME

Email address of other IRCC offices
https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/6#97288992

So try this, there are members in this forum who did this and got Updates on their application few days later

If you have a masters degree and you are currently working why not consider Express Entry then. With your NYSC one year working experience I think you just need 2 years working experience and good iELTS score to meet the cut-off. Just my advice. I’m sure the gurus here will give their advice on your intended program that does not match your previous study but I don’t think it looks good.

Hello AbionaT,

You can consider the express entry which makes you become a permanent resident of Canada (you’ll need a master’s, 3 years of work experience and good IELTS score) For more information, you can google express entry Canada and read about it. They award points based on the factors I listed plus other factors, if you meet the cut off, you’d be invited to apply. There is a tool that helps you calculate your score. You can input expected scores for example if you haven’t taken Ielts and see what your final score would be. That way you can know what and what to work on to qualify. You can google “CRS score tool Canada” to see this tool.

In the case that one out of you or your spouse do not have a master’s or the required work experience you can go as a student. It could be one of you who has a master’s, it mustn’t be the both, anyone that meets the criteria can apply and take the others as dependents.

If you decide to go as students, this is the right thread, I’d encourage you to read the thread from page one to more info.

Best wishes

You are Welcome,

Don't send it in Chains, you have to send the mail to the respective e-mail addresses one by one. It might be quite tasky, but you are left with no choice.

95% of the mail response you would get after sending those mails will all be AUTOMATIC RESPONSE, so wait for some few days, a week or two and see if they would respond with updates about your application, if they don't , re-shoot those mails again

Submitted NSE requirements Dec. 13th, got donot reply mail on December 15th confirming docs received. Checked my GCKey and status had changed to Application/Profile updated which later changed to submitted.

On thesame 15th, eligibility review started including review of docs received and background check.

It will end in praise for us all...

Pls for those that submitted the NSE documents..what date did IRCC start reviewing your additional documents?the day/date u submitted or there's no date there yet??

Thank you sir, I will shed a little plan on my app
For you to reevaluate me before I apply.

Single parent.
Uncle took responsibility after dad death
MSc environmental engineering in Concordia uni.
Have a landed property transfered to me after dad demise.
Took 1 year unpaid internship job.
After the internship I was Giving a permanent employment to assistance environmental officer. During probation period I was paid a stipend of 12500 naira per week by cash. Other services is free. It was after probation a staff is entitled to salary. After probation, I was absorbed in and it was d same month I told den abut my study and that I needed a time to apply. Then I was given a leave but unpaid it's already the company principle if u can fund yourself. This should she'd light on my case sir.

JustMellow:

Hello AbiodunMobi2025,

The VO MAY likely have concern(s) for your "Personal Assets and Financial Status." Since you have poor inflows prior before now and the 600k only entered recently, the VO may interprete it the other way to be borrowed funds or an action taken due to the visa application process.

In terms of the sponsorship commitment, the issue may not necessarily be the lump sum deposit by your uncle. The VO may be wanting to understand more about you and/or parent's financial establishment using the poor inflows to assess your level of establishment.

Its true no two application is the same but if you're a matured applicant with (prior) work experience, the genuinuity of your application and intention may be subjected to thorough scrutiny. Given that your program is for 2yrs may also give room to further questions about your funds.

As it is, I believe there is no other option. In this case, you have to explain any movement of unusual funds into and out of the account.

My suggestion is this, let your parents also get involved or play a financial role. Then stay hopeful that the VO don't use 'insufficient funds and employment situation' as basis for assessing your application.

You know your situation quite well and understands your application better. I only gave my opinion based on your post and my observation about it.

Best of Luck
