Nwakali still on the bench for Huesca

Some people made a bold prediction that he will starting for Nigeria by now

huesca need nwakalis creativity in midfield. there is no use benching him because their first 11 is loosing everytime. in fact using him might help them.
they want to loan him to a srcond division team but they themselves might be relegated.
their coach is simply being foolish. his first 11 is sending him back to relegation and he is not thinking of changes.
We Africans should not allow Europeans judge a players ability for us.

Maybe because he has not shown enough to displace those in the first team??

when athletico coughed out over a 100 million to sign a player who hasnt played up to 20 months of proffesional football was when i realised how crazy the transfer market is

Joao Felix still remains one of my best players in the game today. I think with the way he is progressing, Atletico Madrid will make a huge fortune when they sell him. Looks a good investment.

What huge fortune ?

Yes he has been comming good recently

He was purchased for 110 and he can’t be sold for more than 150 if he continues his current good form and I don’t see 40 million gain as a huge fortune

you people have come with African vs Europe again. you people should convince him to play in the npfl so that we can see his ability since Europeans are misjudging it. all the times that nwakali played in huesca, what was the creativity he brought to the game? nwakali is probably reading comments here, that's why he has remained the way he is.

I see him worth about 200m in a few years time with the current trend of the market and if he maintains a steady growth in his performances.

Profit doesn't come via player sales alone. Juventus will never sell Ronaldo for the 100M they bought him, but their improved followership, merchandise sales and sponsorship will have covered for that cost.

When Joao hits elite player level like Mbappe, Atletico will start to reap the benefit of an under-22 player worth over 100m.

Joao Felix just turned 21 last month. What he has done so far for Atletico has been at the age of 19-20, which to me is stellar.

The most important thing is to keep progressing. So far, so good.

Mario Baloteli's advise to European born players of African descent

"When you win games for them , you're European but when you lose you're African. Some have made it in European national teams yes, but if you ask them the abuse they have gone through from coaches, officials , fans and even fellow players , you will sympathize. They have endured through out their career.

"To the youngsters that are still in dilema of choosing between European national team and African national team, my advise to you is that, if you feel you are strong enough to overcome racism, segregation, and lack of appreciation then go for Europe but if you want to be appreciated and acknowledged for your hard work then Africa must be your destination.

"There is a myth in Europe that African national teams can never make you be a great player but that's a lie, look at Drogba, Eto'o , Yaya , George, these are some of the great African players that shook the world both at club and international level. They played world cup and even champions league in europe.

"I am grateful for everything that Italy did for me but if I had a second chance, I would choose to play for Ghana. "

Bros if Nwakali was good enough he would be playing, you are still judging him u17 football..i watched him a couple of times with Huesca, the guy lacks work rate and intensity, he might be technically good but if he doesn't show hunger and desire, I'm sorry no coach in the world would play him....so far the only reason ppl talk of Nwakali is because they are equating u17 to professional footy...totally different ball game!!!

The same way Europeans judged Yakubu, Yobo, George Weah, Yayah Toure, Drogba, Mane, Salah, Zaha, Osimhen, Ndidi, etc To mention just a few.

Your rational is therefore it is only Africans that have eyes to see quality players from Africa.

He should live with the decisions he made, afterall he turned down Ghana in favour of Italy. European born players will always see African sides as a second choice. If Mahrez and Aubameyang had been good enough for France earlier in their careers they would have represented France. Players like Doucouré and Dembele have turned down Mali despite having slim chances of playing for France. He made his decision he should live with it. Zidane, Depay, Kante, Boateng etc all have/had wonderful careers with European teams.

Of course he is living with it. That was just to help someone else with their decision.

France and Italy are definitely not the same racial climate. U act like you never saw the disgrace those animals put him through. The chants? The bananas? The tears on the bench?

He only selected Italy because he was raised by Italians. They gave him joy so he wanted to give them the same thing but now he sees it was at the expense of his happiness.

He has always been a stubborn player with serious disciplinary issues even before he started playing for Italy. His problems were evident even at the clubs he played for, he probably would have faced similar problems with fans if he played for Ghana besides the racist chants and banana stuff obviously. He's not particularly a likeable person.

The Pope liked him.

If Leon Balogun could be racially abused in Germany as a boy, best believe a bigger and blacker Mario was practically taunted like a grown man in a more racist Italy.

Imagine if Iwobi didn't have Nigerian fans during his hard times? That's basically what balotelli went through. Playing for Ghana would have absolutely brought out the best in Mario because he only wants to be loved. Of course they would have called out his nonsense but he would have been loved and cherished I am sure.

Were there any black academies in Italy? I don't get that point. Did he put himself up for adoption? How do you expect a 17 year old to make any other choice knowing his story?
