Put your trust in no man, but God.

Don't put your eggs in one basket

Above, the year 2020 taught me to serve God and promote His kingdom. This God Himself engraced and empowered me to do in His house- the Church.

And the rewards for the kingdom service were enormous.

...seek ye first His kingdom and all other things shall fall in place for us.

To God alone be all Glory. Thank you Jesus.

As this year comes to an end tonight. A lot of appreciation to friends and loved ones, best wishes for the coming year are flying around. A lot are optimistic about the coming year.

It has been the best year for some yet the worse for many others.

I won't like to bore you all with happenings of this year. But one thing is for sure, we all agreed that this year had been one of a kind thanks to brother Corona and Chief ASUU especially.(for students angry)

We succeeded at some things, failed woefully at many others but above all we learnt and got more experience.

I learnt a lot of things and I'm sure we all did. Here are some of the core lessons 2020 succeeded in teaching me hardcore cheesy

1. Never to be afraid to taking risk especially when it comes to financial liberation.
So long a business/investment is in good standing, go for it(wisely) if you have the financial muscle. That might just give you the financial breakthrough you have been hoping for.

2. To always try to get out of my "comfort zone
No matter how comfortable your comfort zone might be, always strive to "be more" and uncomfortable. Trust me, that's the only way you can grow.

3. To build my network.
After all, in this age and time, your NETWORK determines your networth. No long talk about it. We all know where Nigeria tilting towards and how things are being run grin

4. To always stay informed
Omo, information is power, this year was the year I knew the worth of that popular saying. Information is sometimes what differentiate the Middle class from the rich. Information has a way of placing you one step ahead amongst your peer. Trust me.

5. Not to stay depressed for too long.
Depression is a state of mind we all have experienced on occasions in our life regardless of the reason(s). Always pick yourself up, dust your sneakers and get back on the track cool. Life continues and you can't get the most out of life by staying depressed.

Okay, Nairalanders, let's hear yours too, hopefully someone picks a lesson or two.
This year taught me not to expect every expectations to happen

One thing i learnt most in 2020 is "time"
as ancient as the earth, probably a billion years old still, nobody has it
Time is key man...was key for most of us.some could have gotten married. Some could have travelled out, some should be in school or leaving school. Time was key.
I pray as we are concious of how important time is and we honour our respective hustle by being deligent
God will crown our efforts with 5 star rating
Home sweet home 2021!

[quote author=osazuwa23 post=97599121]2020 had taught that you should always appreciate your love ones and that life can be gone in a split of second. I lost my Grandmom of 98 years and I witnessed her body shutdown in a blink of an eye cry Also 2020 like 2019 taught me that I tend to get jobs late in the year. I landed my federal job in America in October after being rejected from so many private companies. Overall 2020 has been shaky . [/quote
Sorry for the loss man. And congratulations on your new job.

What you described here is sadness not depression.. Do you know what depression is?you think you can just dust yourself up from depression like that?

Hmm. Maybe you are right. Maybe not. Depression has levels by the way

2020 tough me
Not everyone live under the same economy - During this hard times people bought cars, married more wives and made literally billions of dollars in profit while other died of hunger and business shut down (due to the lockdown over the imaginary pandemic).

Nigeria really is a 3rd World Country - Life is cheap and I am oppressed (meaning if I move to a developed country, it is more possible to be a governor in that host country, than being a local government chair man in Nigeria, if I play my cards well). We can't even own firearms to protect ourselves and there is no place in politics for me ever.

Don't trust the media - There are two sides to every story and always find out who is the writer and what is their intention.

Some things can not be changed (personal)

Time waits for no one (personal)
