Black mamba ain’t the deadliest snake even in Africa. That title belongs to the puff adder. Extremely venomous, it’s bite is deadlier than a black mamba’s

That’s what I said in an earlier post too. In actual potency it’s not even in the top 3...maybe, just maybe barely top 5. The taipan and krait is top two...I think sea snakes are even much more potent than a krait but since they barely have any human fatalities they are not amongst the ‘deadliest’. A sea snakes venom is so potent because it has to stop a fast moving fish in its track..what good will a dead fish do if it swam away from you and died a kilometer away right?

It's not only about the potency of the venom but more about the aggressive nature, quickness of the particular snake and that's what makes the mamba the deadliest imo. I mean it's the fastest snake in the world.

I disagree. The mamba is faster, more aggressive and can strike multiple times. Puff adder are dangerous but not in the same league as the mambas and cobras.

Tho the gaboon viper is a very deadly snake too but it doesn't strike people without giving warnings.

There something about snakes in the animal world that seem to hold there own steady. They are like a cult on there own.

Slow but very deadly.no other animals mimicks them.

There is lion and tigers Crocs and even elephants. But a snake is a snake. They come in all size and form. Large and small. Constrictor or venomous. no matter how you rank the big cats. One miss step from a lion on a snake and it's game over in seconds.

They are my least favorite animals.but they hold there own steady in the animal world. You have to respect them. they are as up there and even revered or feared (depending ) as the king of the beast.

Their instict is so primitive. That one can never judge it accurately.
Snakes! The name alone means snake.

Stop exaggerating it joor!

Ordinary honey badger dey deal with them.

There are animals their venom can't harm, even if they bite/sting it severally.

I watched a documentary on the nat geo channel, where the black mamba snake was named as the second most deadliest in Africa behind the puff adder. A puff adder’s venom kills faster

I know and already stated that in my first post. What it lacks in potency of venom it makes up for in speed and aggression.

So some people love snakes?

Puff adder is not even among the top 10 most venomous snakes in the world.
The list was dominated by sea snakes and elapids not vipers.

Another dangerous snake that I like is the king cobra. It eats other snakes for lunch.

Because the protein in their venom can’t bind with that of those animals, which gives them immunity.

Not the deadliest

It’s the deadliest in the world when rated in characteristics and because of it’s fast and active neurotoxic venom which could kill within 28-45 minutes. This snake could strike 5 people in side a room within 1 minutes. It bites multiple times and doesn’t give just one bite like other snakes do. These characters made it the most deadliest snake in the world but not the most venomous snake.

Yea like I said, in actual venom potency it’s the sea snakes..their bite is instantaneous paralysis. But since they don’t come in contact with humans and are often docile in nature they are not regarded as ‘deadly’. A good thing for mankind lol.

That might be incorrect..they’re found in Africa, and if a snake can be found in South Africa it can be found in the western part of Africa...they’re good travelers and survivors.

They're not, none in this part of the world
