It's actually a short one.

The name was bought with the intention of selling to end-users outside the .com category. (Because most will likely reply with a response of the extension being use for NON-Profit activities, which is right ).

After purchase, the name was listed on epik.com marketplace.

Then the hunt began.

Many may be familiar with this but let me share..

I decided to search in a sorted way on google by using this command;

Site:.org Insurance Texas (Meaning it will bring only .org organizations with the keywords)

And that was it, I did an outbound to one end user, few minutes later buyer proceed to buy.

And that was it.

All happened in a day! The same day it was listed on epik.com. it sold!

Glory be to God.

4th .org sale this year..

SH is a platform where you can submit an unregistered and registered brandable domain when the domain sells, you are entitled to a % of sales price depending on if it sells 1st, 2nd or third year. SH will register the domain on your behalf and continue to pay renewal fees for three years max.

I did thorough research and in the end, I went ahead to register the domain rejected bY Sixth/Growth/King

A firm which has invested more than $4 billion is using the three word "sixth/street/growth/King". The firm investment range from $25M to over $500M. Similarly, the firm has a range of offices in San Francisco, New York, Hong Kong, London & Boston.

How best should I present this word of mine to the two Co-Head of this firm via email? What price should I quote BIN?

I'm not an expert in appraisal but I'll advise you to stick to domains that sells. Many are afraid to appraise domains so they don't look like a fool if the domain sells tomorrow.

Look for domains in Cities + Products or services niche . Don't venture into States cause it'll be hard for you to sell.

A state in USA is like the whole of South Western Nigeria and it'll be hard for a Plumbing service in a particular cities to cover the whole state except they're big Company but its rare. That's why most geo domains that sells daily are Cities.

Also focus on top tier Keywords

I know this type of domains are hard to drop and even if they managed to, Dropcatch is waiting for them but it's better you hold onto your money rather than gnash your teeth when your domains ain't selling. Don't rush, Take your time and study the sales reports.

First of all, quoting or not quoting price in an initial sales letter all result in sales. But the jury is still out on the one that yields the most result.

Having said that, quoting price (I do) is part of a sales funnel. The idea is that it helps weed out 'unserious' prospects.

Not quoting price will of course get you more replies, especially those asking "how much?" Those "more replies" often will stress you out with false hope.

The probability that the buy-interest is strong is higher with a response to sales letter with a price than with one without a price.

For the former, the prospect probably already likes the name, regards your price as a good bargain point, and is replying to see if he can get it lower/verify any claims you may have made concerning the name. While a sales letter without a price will attract responses with more diverse reasons that may not even be hinged on a seller's primary need from a prospect - genuine interest to buy.

I always advice people to try several methods, then stick with what works for them. This post is just to shed a little light on what I believe is the reason for quoting a price ab initio. A seller wants only highly targeted and serious prospects to emerge at the end of his sales funnel.
