I've lost my phone several times (got stolen, died on me, bricked etc) if not for Facebook and Instagram I've lost MANY MANY Important picture including my NYsC photos only one survived because I sent it to a girl who said I should send after I sent her 2 days later I was robbed so I lost all photos except that one after I did WhatsApp backup I saw it on the chat and saved it Facebook and insta sharp sharp I learnt my lesson.
I was forming private private but after that I changed my perspective

I personally don't see anything wrong with sharing ur pix on sm ,except u have a complex issue or u are afraid of village pple.

1. When u know you're fine/cute
2. When u need validation/attract something or
3. When u want to backup
4. When u are confident & u don't care what people will say

There are 10 reasons people hardly post pics online

1. When u know you're ugly or too short/fat/skinny/gaining-losing weight
2. When u're too insecure to handle criticism because of how ur this and that looks (too self-conscious)
3. U're an introvert without a social life and love being in your comfort zone (boils down to inferiority or insecurities)
4. When ur camera quality sucks
5. When u have only few clothes
6. When u have body-shamed others a lot --- you become scared of payback
7. When u're too religious or a fraudster/criminal on the run or under the control of strict guardians — if they catch you posting sexy pics online you're in soup
8. When u're impersonating/
9. When the sins of your grandparents/parents, etc. is tormenting ur family and you feel your pic could be used by village people and you'll be killed via jazz
10. You've bleached your skin to the point you don't want cameras to capture your dark knuckles or you could be too light skinned and ugly, too dark and ugly, too many pimples on your face, or tribal mark, baldness, early gray hair, etc. It's just insecurity for short.

These sets of people hate posting pics no matter what — they are hiding a lot. The moment they do surgery and it's successful they open a Snapchat account or an Instagram account and you'll start seeing hundreds of pics per day from them --- ask Bobrisky and other slay queens that went under the knife.

The insecurity days are over ---- it's time to show off.

Posting or nt posting pics online is dependent on either excitement or insecurity

If u're skinny and you hate it, you will be too insecure to post pics online. D moment u gain weight, you'll become excited and post your pic.

If u're fat and you hate it, you'll also he too insecure to post & the moment you lose that weight, you'll excitedly rush to social media to flaunt your new body.

If ur ass is small u won't post much pics of your ass but the moment you upgrade it like Nengi, you'll flaunt it by taking pics with different k-leg styles.

So such is life.

Alternatively, have multiple gmail accounts.
Each with free 15gb space.
10 such accounts gives 150GB.

What Happen to external storage device?
I have an external hard drive that I store every of my pix, I usually upload to the external drive whenever my phone storage is getting full .

Before facebook,instagram and others, ppl where where still snapping pictures and pinning the pics on photo albums.My dad and mom still have their pictures saved on their photo albums .if u hate pictures then how will ur children or grand kids know how u look as a young man or young woman.personally speaking I rarely speak to users who use empty facebook accounts with no pix of fake pix cos as soon as I see ur dm and I notice ur profile pic section is empty then I assume u probably have something to hide then I will just ghost u.

It's not bad to post anyways, but if you find yourself unable to resist the urge once in a while, then you may be having a problem.
