I was in that situation. Its either you go to the NIS nearest to you (praying and fasting their spirit agrees to use the booklets they are hoarding for you) or you head for Abuja, where you can do it rest assured there will not be stories of availability of booklets. I chose the second. Spent a lot travelling and risk, but got it done, just ahead of filling for CAS. It helped. Mine had 7months validity, more than 6. They did it without stories at the HDQTRS.

Normally no but according to an update on .Gov site ( https://www.gov.uk/guidance/financial-evidence-for-student-and-child-student-route-applicants ), a partner's statement can now be used if your partner is present in the UK or applying at the same time.
You might have to screenshot this and explain in a cover letter in case the ECO missed this updated information.

The 28-day count should start from the day after the money required hit the account. If you've had it for more than 28 days, just count 28 days backwards from your online submission day.
The end of the 28 days must not be older than 31 days before your application is submitted.
If you've had the money in your account for about 1-3 months before your application, you can print for the while period up till your application date and leave the ECO to do the counting.

Will you be using your birth certificate to prove a link between you and your parents in your application? If yes, get an affidavit but if no, there's no need.

If not applying together then just send her school fees and maintenance into her account for 28 days minimum.. that solves that problem and the rest for yourself and a child can be in your account
