The last two grades were 3.5 and 4.0 respectively. A fresh graduate to be precise from the department of Environmental Engineering with the hope of having Msc in the same dept.

I just want to know if someone can put in with such grades, or someone has to do some sort of diploma programme first.
3.5 and 4.0 in a system of 5, right? That's 2.1 in your last two years, right? If yes then you might be considered.
Another thing is, try to apply to more than one school and also consider some PGD courses to increase your chances of getting admission

Pls I have a question. A frd of mine applied for a college diploma because her highest level of education is HND ...pls is this the right move because some people are saying that the vo will consider educational progression ... pls your opinion... waiting for you response pls

Hello Babyboy2020,

An HND is higher than a Diploma. Going for a Diploma after an OND reduces the approval chances. Maybe the person should look into a PGD or Post-Baccaleaurate Diploma.

Great. Try to sort out other aspects of your application, there's more to an application than just POF.
Good luck

Yes i am working on other docs. And as for home ties is it ok if i include only my land purchase receipt?

Thanks

Till now, eligibility hasn't started and I've gotten final approval...so I cant even say this is how the stuff works

Hello OtunbaTee,

I can imagine the excitement. Its not easy to be patient.

In regards to the eligibility thingy, most times, IRCC tends to be slow in updating the GcKey online account with real-time update. An application can not be finalized without eligibility review.

The real-time updates can be seen in the GCMS Notes. You may be shocked to find out when eligibility was passed and when the application got approved.

Big Congratulations once again.

Can the spousal open work permit (SOWP) be obtained while in Nigeria or its done only when one is in Canada?

Hello Ibrahim,

Within or outside Canada is possible and acceptable. In my opinion, it seems more okay doing it within Canada may be after the first semester.

N.B: It can also be comfortably done outside Canada depending on the situation or circumstance.

i just got off the phone with an Accredited physician and it costs 1500rmb(115,000 naira) for the upfront medicals, now my questions are

1. is it this expensive in Nigeria?

2. hope the Canadian embassy would approve of it , or should i just wait till they direct me on which specific clinic to go cause 115k much to gamble now

3. will they send the medical report to the Canadian embassy or will i have to go back and pick it up myself?

4. Since i am submitting online, where will i go for the thumb print? or will the embassy direct me to where i will thumbprint here in china ?

5. i don't live in the city where i will go for the medicals. can i do the medicals and thumb print same day ?

Please an insight would really help a brother

..... @Evergeen22, in lieu and agreement with what @mcobex said earlier....

1) I'm also not applying from Nigeria and I did medical upfront which was almost four hundred Euros (N200k).

2) As long as you do not have any serious health issue that would be a threat nor contaminatious, I think you should be good to go.

3) you do not have to go and pick it up yourself. You can send the medical slip, which would be given to you after the medicals, and upload it via webforms and emails. @Popoolam posted list of emails to send too, which I personally adhered too and my profile was updated to medical pass and eligibility started.

4) Google Canada VAC/VFS in China, there should surely have one around for the sake of biometrics collection. I am not guaranteeing that there is.

5) Yes you can do them same day. You would just have to plan your schedule properly when making appointments and commuting to the venue. Hope this helps a little bro. I will wait for other gurus to pick their knowledge on the matter.

It will surely end in praise.

OlanikeOba:
Hello everyone,
I am so confused about how to go about my POF.

We have a food family business with my name on the CAC document as part of the owners.

Can this business sponsor me by sending the whole money at once to my account?

Or should my husband be the sponsor?

Is it compulsory to send the money to my own account in bits or the money for my proof of funds can be sent at once?

Note: I studied industrial chemistry as my first degree. I'm going for global business Management in Humber college to specialise in fashion Management in the 2nd year. (I have an offer letter already for fall 2021)
My fashion business is registered with CAC and I have certificates from my fashion schools, with presence on social media.
Which documents can I submit to support my application.

I hope I have a good chance of getting a visa.

Hello OlanikeOba,

I think you have a good profile if your spouse can sponsor you. It reflects good level of economic standing and financial sufficiency.

I believe the family business belongs to your nuclear family. If so you can use it to build your home ties and source of funds for your study.

The fashion business can be used to reference your prospect plans but ensure to demonstrate having good established background in the line of business.

If your BS has weak inflows and poor closing balance, as a Director in the family business, you can beginning to build your account by placing yourself on a salary up till the time of your application. Then include payslips. Do well to pay either part or full tuition, if applicable.

If you can build your account in piecemeal up to a certain good amount, when your husband gets to make the commitment for your LE by transferring it to you, you should have by then good cashflows and tangible sitting amount.

You can build the account through the family business account as salary/stipend and from your fashion business as earnings from clients. The latter can as well help your case when making claims and giving reasons for wanting to do a fashion management program.

At this point, you shouldn't be specific about a precise location for a school, what if the program you want to study is not in any school in Toronto. Think about that.

Now to your last sentence " 2.2 graduate ", based on that, i think you are eligible for a Post Graduate Certificate Program (PG. Cert).

Why not mention what you studied in your Undergraduate & your Work Experience (If any), cos the PG. Cert program you must go for must either tandem (relate) to what you studied in school or your work experience, with that you will get possible Suggestions of schools & programs you can apply to, and you might even be lucky the PG. Cert program you want to study is being offered in a school located in Toronto & it can go either way, so as per location, brace yourself up for the uncertainty.

I'm a graduate of computer science. Thanks

Pls as I am preparing to apply for my study permit, I am traveling with my Husband and son, so how do I apply, pls I need to be guided, is the application going to be together as a family, pls candid responses Gurus, I heartily appreciate you all

Hello Tracy0803409,

Yes, it going together. When filling the questionnaire, you will be asked if you will be accompanied by any dependents. Answering yes modifies your application to accommodate other application(s). Its a simplied process that may require no or less supervision.

As for the documents, same documents for you can suffice for the application but ensure to include any extra document(s) that is relevant to their personal situation or circumstances.

For a family application, the two major hurdles to watch out for are HT & POF. If these can't be meet, review your situation and put in a sole application.

Best of Luck

Good day everyone. Please, I have some questions to ask.

I studied biochemistry at Bsc level with a high 2.1 (4.3 CGPA), graduated 6 years ago with a 5 years working experience (worked as a medical sales representative with 2 different international pharmaceutical companies). Is it possible to get a scholarship for masters with my CGPA? And please I need help with schools in different provinces of canada that can offer me scholarship with my CGPA.

Is it better to go for biochemistry (masters) or a program that is more related to my work experience?

Thanks
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Akannitommy: 12:44pm On Jan 11, 2021
Just to add:

You may also be able to request a copy of your report from the panel physician/clinic but they will only give the summary of the non-confidential components - HIV, SYPHILIS, and the SERUM CREATININE - test reports. This will likely show the type of tests, the methods/kits used for these, and result including any special comments. I got a copy of this from IOM, Lagos on request 2-days after my medical exams.

mcobex:
1. If it is less expensive in Nigeria will you fly back to Nigeria just for medical? Lol
2. If it is IRCC accredited physicians then they will accept it
3. They will send the result to IRCC in the space of 2-5 days after your test. They will only give you a receipt to show you have done and paid for your medical (you can later decide to upload it to your application if you feel like, but that's not the result)
4. IRCC will send you an email asking you to go for your biometric and the address of the visa centre in your country/city will be sent to you. You can also search online to see the Canadian visa centre closest to you (in most countries IRCC uses the services of visa application centres to help get those information and accept paper applications from applicants).... Google that
5. Yes you can do both on the same day. But you need to plan your movement the right way.
Biometric (thumbprint and capturing) will be done after you have submitted your application (might take between 2 days to 2 weeks after your application, depending on when they send your biometric invitation). As for medical, if you intend to go for upfront medical, you can do that before applying then submit your payment receipt together with your application (meaning you will not do medical and biometric on the same day). Another option will be you submit your application without medical, then once you get your biometric invitation you can now book an appointment with the physician on the same day (after your biometric). Once you get the receipt you can send to IRCC whenever you want.
The last option will be to apply, wait for your biometric invitation, then later on wait to receive medical invitation (this will most likely be on a different date)

Hello gurus in the house,

I have submitted my application and even started working on the NSE request that was sent to me.

However, I just found out that my sponsor has two plots of lands that she bought about five years ago but she only has receipts and they sum up to #400,000 only.

Can I raise a webform for this receipt? Does it not sound like a small amount?

If I can attach it, how do I go about explaining it as a strong financial aid

Looking forward to your responses.

1) Yes it is possible to get a Fully-funded Scholarships with your CGPA, but note that CGPA is not the only criteria to clinch a scholarship, there is more to it e.g Research Abilities/potentials etc.

2) Visit the link below , you would see Masters in Biochemistry programs & universities offering them
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Biochemistry&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

To know if the above schools have Funded Masters Program in Biochemistry, you have to take your time to do research on that yourself, most especially mailing Biochemistry professors at various schools in other to know if they are accepting students. The contents in the link below will guide you further on how to do all of that, go through everything you see there.

Full guides on how to apply for MASTERS/PH.D programs, Secure a Supervisor in Canadian Universities and also get possible FUNDING (SCHOLARSHIP)

3) To your last Question, I think other members & gurus would be able to help you on that

Hello Evergeen22,

The 9m seems sufficient. If you're opting for the NSE stream, you need to do the upfront medicals. For the regular stream, its a choice to either do it or not. It boils to your budget and the available time.

Hi all, please I need help on how to proceed application for my family members.

I have 4 kids, 3 have American passports and so do not need Visa to Canada.

I have already resumed lectures online. Do I still need to get to Canada before I can apply for my husband (and child that is not a US citizen?), or can I apply now while still in Nigeria?

Also, I plan to travel soon with my last two children, since they don't need a Visa. Will that be a problem, since I already said they won't be travelling with me?
