now when you insert your card. the malware gets all the details from the card. and when you put your pin, it is recorded too. after few min the full details is taken the pos will purge out your atm and the bastards will tell you network problem or one flimsy excuse.
after few days or even week. to be sure you have possibly use your atm elsewhere and forgotten about them. they will either use the same details and pin to register mobile banking or make a clone atm and use on shopping malls POS machines. they use it to buy things.

i lost over 200k in this regards and traced it and that's how i get to know it. since then. i don't use POS machines, even some ATM self i don't use.

It's ok to use POS machines, but from reputable stores.
And have a separate account and card for your POS transactions and ATM.
I don't leave more than 20k in the account i use for my POS payments, even after being careful where I use it.
Anything that requires amounts more than that, I use bank transfers.
In fact it's best to have 3 accounts.
One main account that you only pay into (no atm cards, no major line attached to it). Use Truecaller to make sure the line you assigned to it wasn't a recycled line.
One for receiving payments/services, etc. That you can use to fund your third account.
A third account for your ATM and POS stuff.
Your bank app for your main account should be in a phone that's always at home.
If you have 50m in the bank, I don't see any difficulty with having multiple android phones.

People are out there to reap what that didn't sow. Don't give them that chance.

Download opay app and upload the required documents as requested in each level this will get you to the agent level. Don't pay anyone for it. When you are about to be issued the POS machine you go to opay office to verify the account don't pay money into unverified account .

I saw the android pos last week. It makes sense that the device can store pin imput if a key logger or screen recorder app is installed.

you don't have kobo. android pos don't have playstore and file manager , you can't install anything inside. do your research well
