Former Imo State Governor and the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha has dropped a huge hint on the prospect of a new political force ahead of the 2023 general elections in the country.

Okorocha at the Commissioning of the Rumueche- Rumuakunde- Ohna- Awuse Road in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State called for the integration of like minds from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and the All Progressives Congress APC to accelerate the level of progress in the country.

Okorocha, who said he was in Port Harcourt on grounds of his friendship with the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike called on the people of the South East and South-South to synergize in view of the similarities in culture.

The former governor noted that there are good people and bad people both in APC and PDP and urged the alliance of like minds from the two political parties to make a difference.

“There are very bad people in APC and there are very bad people in PDP. So, I think the good people in APC and the good people in PDP must come together for the purpose of making Nigeria great.

“Then just imagine that I join forces Wike; something will happen.

“Governor Wike, this is my hand of friendship. Let us bring like-minds and all the great people of Nigeria and those that are complaining let us make this nation greater,” Rochas said.

Earlier, host Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State said his decision not to complete the monorail project started by his predecessor Rotimi Amaechi was the choice of Rivers people.

He chided political opponents in Emohua for doing nothing to improve the lives of the people and mocked those who criticize his government saying they will remain perpetually blind since they claim to see nothing he has done.

One, despite just leaving office recently, has lost out completely in his Imo state while the other one has been feeding off the inability of Sen. Abe and HE Rotimi Amaechi to put their Rivers State APC house in order.

Asiwaju Tinubu left office since 2007 yet remained relevant. Talk is cheap. They should go and work very hard.

He should leave abeg! We don't need him in APC! In fact, he should stop WASTING his time... If President Muhammadu Buhari refuses to seek a third term, then a morally upright candidate from the South West will emerge, while Governor El-rufai will emerge as his vice..

I was once a supporter of Dave Umahi because of my belief in equity and fairness.. But with the desperation of politicians from the South East, coupled with the hatred from our SE brothers and sisters, it'll be disastrous to hand over the presidency to them.. I'll not be a part of such an arrangement!

So it's cool! They should leave the APC! Let the FITTEST SURVIVE!

Well, he made three Governors after him, which rochas couldn't do, he made a VP, rochas couldn't do so also. So maybe he should start by making a Governor first.

Sir, Senator Okorocha is not even a ranking senator, it means he is a freshman Senator.The current governor of Imo state is higher in ranking than him in Senate traditional ranking let alone now comparing him to someone like Asiwaju who was a senator 30 years ago.

That Gen Buratai is a General today and have a higher rank than a major General doesn't make him mates with Major Gen. Buhari( Buhari did not promote himself to General).
Asiwaju was a Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria 30 years ago sir.

You are still not getting it sir. Why will he leave office just few months ago and now a political orphan. Even the alternative party he set up, is not doing fine. It is not about him as a person but what he achieved politically. As about those becoming governors in Lagos, sir, they can't. From Gen Mobolaji Johnson now to Alhaji Jakande now HE Sanwo Olu, Lagos governors are people who have professional pedigree.
You must achieve success in your professional field before becoming governor in Lagos.

My advice to Sen Okorocha is to work hard and be humble. I don't know why it is difficult to admit it when someone is above you. Comparing Asiwaju Tinubu to him is disrespectful to Asiwaju Tinubu.
