Why not give him life imprisonment instead of death by firing.
I think their is something wrong somewhere. Let his family appeal the judgment through a conventional court if that will overrule the judgment. There has been cases of soldiers attacking GOC in the north for withholding their allowance and attack on commanders for nor approving their redeployment. E no easy

This should not be about being Igbo or not, he killed a colleague in cold blood. Thats the issue. That's plain murder punishable by death even in the judicial system. In the military which the soildeir is a part the punishment is also death, by the military decree that has been on ground even before the Igbo guy joined the army.
The punishment is good for the crime, whether Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba.

You have no idea how the suspect killed the boy, whether it's close range or not, or maybe he was trigger happy. It happens alot during war. But the ibo dude definitely killed his colleague knowingly and surprisingly at close range.
