mattfeuter:Lool he needs to take several seats. The only player allowed to whine about his current situation is Bradley Beal and he's not even using it as an excuse not to ball. I have never understood the hullabaloo about Harden as it's pretty clear you're never winning a chip with that guy as your best player |
Re: The NBA Begins by mattfeuter(m): 2:02pm On Jan 13, 2021 |
A40: I’m just wondering where he thinks he can go and win a chip at the moment. I feel bad for John wall too. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:13pm On Jan 13, 2021 |
mattfeuter:Maybe Philly, maybe Brooklyn. But if you are a GM you have to ask yourself do you really want this headache? If you give up the house for him and he doesn't extend you're all types of bleeped. Honestly the Rockets should just sit him till they find a trade partner. Playing him after that presser would be sabotage. Get all the teams to come with their best deals. Pick the best one and move forward That roster shouldn't be 3-7. OKC is probably the worst roster in the West and they still have 5 wins 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: The NBA Begins by mattfeuter(m): 4:00pm On Jan 13, 2021 |
A40: I agree with this take. How privileged can you be, getting paid millions to play basketball and you get to decide when you show up for games. Lots of people would die to be in Kyries position but well oh well. Life isn’t balanced. This is one of the reasons as to why I respect Lebron a lot. You can talk about his off the court antics and him being a drama king and stuff, but what you won’t say however is that Lebron ever tried to cheat the game. Year 18, fresh off a chip and He’s ready for media day1. No excuses, nothing, he’s ready to play. I said it earlier, KD doesn’t know what he’s gotten himself into. 4 Likes |

As a great KD fan, part of the problem with Kyrie is also KD, what I mean is, KD does have alpha talent, but not an alpha personality. ´He does not exude that charisma that puts others in check. He could not contain West - now Eastbrook, neither can he contain Kyrie. Kyrie did not display this befoolery under Bron, because like it or not, when you get in a Lebron's team, you immediately know who is the alpha and there is no question about it. Then you act and behave accordingly, you join the queue and lower your head. KD on the other hand always act like a socialist. Everyone is equal. He treats Kyrie as his equal. Well the problem is, when you treat someone who should be your disciple as your equal, he will ultimate believe he is even bigger than you. That was the problem in OKC, and it is the same problem in Brooklyn. Let KD show that Kyrie is nowhere close to him in talent and abilities, and teach him to respect you as the alpha dog, and you have the issue sorted. Something KD does not know how to do. Unfortunately. KD really needs a lesson in Machiavellian principles. 3 Likes |

But I see the Nets trading Kyrie for some valuable pieces. They've lost their depth with this trade: LeVert, Allen, Prince, and don't forget they already lost Dimwinddie. |

So it's gone from KD-Steph-Klay to KD-Harden-Kyrie in a blink of an eye But make I no talk before them crucify me for here. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The nets firepower is very high. What about the defense though? Funny enough, they still have salary cap to recruit player. Damm that's a major contender right there 1 Like |

Afromentalist:I sense Harden is insurance of sorts for Kyrie's skoin skoin Plus looking at the Nets record it can be argued that their depth might have been a tad overrated. Like it's always said the team that got the best player won the trade. They didn't even lose Dinwiddie who can come back next season. Don't be suprised if Brooklyn trades Kyrie at this rate 1 Like |

A40: I think they are going to. Harden Kyrie and Durant on the floor is too much, all need the ball. You trade Kyrie and get pieces that dont need the ball to be successful. Plus you save some drama |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 1:37am On Jan 14, 2021 |
Those who know me on and off here know I am a stickler for discipline and accountability. I have also been careful not to make irrational comments about Kyrie despite his off the court issues including at my team Boston but this off the issue has to be addressed. The Nets have to move on from Kyrie, this is too disruptive for a competitive team with championship aspiration. The only exception would have been if the Nets had a very experienced and successful coach but it is obvious Kyrie does not give 2cents about Nash. Have a sit down with Kyrie and trade him somewhere for whatever, not sure his head is still in basketball. Kyrie can also do himself a favor and call it quits if off the field commitments have diminished his desire to play basketball. The other guys in the locker room as looking intently to see how they handle this Kyrie issue. But again, you add another disruptive player in Harden but I don’t think Harden’s off the court issues are as bad as Kyrie’s. I think once Harden settles, we will see him pick up and focus on winning and getting himself in shape but the same cannot be said of Kyrie. Harden wants a ring and I doubt he will tolerate Kyrie screwing that up. The Nets owners are investing a lot in this team for just one person to ruin it. This is where I was against the Nash hire because he lacks the experience of managing superstars who have serious egos. Your All Star guard takes a day off but does not deem it necessary to inform you as the coach but texts the other players. Like Chuck always says “All players in the locker room are not equal but everyone should be treated fairly”. However, if the Nets find a way to get Kyrie to focus on basketball and surround the team with more experience on the bench then they will be unstoppable! 1 Like 2 Shares |

steady986: 3 of those 5 have history of injuries. If these guys are playing at 70-80% and buy into the coach, we can make some noise come playoffs. But too many things have to go right for us to avoid a first round sweep. Dont get me wrong, I want to see Oladipo/Wall succeed. But this is the west. 2 Likes |

birdman: That is why I believe the Pacers won in some sorts with this trade. As good as Oladipo is, he is glass-footed and barely stays healthy throughout the season. LeVert is a streaky volume scorer who has the healthy upside. He had the one injury in 2018 (Broken Leg) but has not lost a beat. You add a healthy LeVert to Brogdan/ Sabonis/ Turner/ TJ Warren and you are looking at a top 5 seed in the East. |

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:50am On Jan 14, 2021 |
birdman:KD on the other hand can play off the ball. Even Kyrie. The only absolutely ball dominant guy there is Harden. Personally I'm more worried about their mental makeup and how they respond when things don't go their way. KD is sensitive but low maintenance Kyrie and Harden on the other hand are two of the most high maintenance divas in the league. I'm expecting that we see the best of Harden again now that he's gotten what he wants anyway. Meanwhile they are people that swear Kyrie is acting up on purpose so he didn't get included in a potential trade. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I still think Brooklyn won this trade sha. Being able to hold on to Kyrie and Dinwiddie and they still have small cap space to get one or two more bodies. They didn't lose nearly as much as I thought they would have Indy are also looking good potentially 1 Like |
