Some things are straightforward: do not steal, submit to your husband, love your wife, obey your parents, etc. etc.

I agree with Reno's first statement on the surface.

His thought process however shows in his response to the lady when he said feminism means men &women are equal while the Bible expects wives to submit to husbands in everything.

If Reno understood what submission met in Christianity, then he would know the 'equality' of men & women does not negate submission.

These allusions you made are quite funny to me. There are no contradictions here. If for anything, It should tell you that God is a very rational Being. The first was an act of reproach due to disobedience inspired by Eve to an established law and God's instructions. The key thing was that there was a "law" in place. The second was Sarah using her free will to make a suggestion as human. She couldn't fathom bearing kids at 90. She broke no law by this act neither did Abram. All in all, both cases had different spiritual and earthly purpose to fulfill. Human think they are so smart now that they try to rationalize the way of God with the ways of Man.

You can call Christianity anything you like but instructions are always clear without any element of ambiguity. "22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything."
