First of all, the last time I schooled you on the “Ooni” topic, you were caught pants down lying about why your Obas visit Ile-Ife when they’re newly enthroned.

You claimed your Oba Akenzua II’s visit to Ife was to greet the then Governor of Western Region — the Ooni.

However, I disgraced you by demonstrating that the Ooni wouldn’t be made Governor until three decades later.

And how did you react to the disgrace? The same thing you do when in shame. You deactivated your account and fled in shame.

Moreover, I have already debunked your reta.rded unsubstantiated claim into silence on this same page. Thanks for helping me bring it to this current page.

See my comment below:

Moreover, the attachments below published in the year 1903 shows that the Ooni of Ife had always been the head of all Yoruba monarchs since time immemorial.
www.nairaland.com/attachments/12915204_3bb91d9be2ea45c5afd3f41e88728f3e_jpeg_jpeg645a15f18177fc5fe10c58c7cc98cb9c

Having debunked that, I like to add that: The oldest known written evidence of “Oba” for your a Benin monarch is in the 1860s.

Whereas, we have seen an 1845 usage of “Oba” for Yoruba monarchs. LMAO!

The link below debunks the lies of the Benin lying machines and exposes the fact that the word “Oba” was borrowed by the Binis from the Yorubas.

[s]Can we see the book were ryder abadon his view on benin ife connections grin grin even the lady who assumed Ryder abandoned his views, couldn't even use Ryder knowledge to draw a proper understanding why she believed the Benin and ife connections existed.I dont blame her anyway.... She juat trying to sell her books by all means. Now outside Ryder own views, we can go manual on finding the relationship between ife and Benin if it indeed exist in the past. Can you show me, a European text which date from 1400 to 1897 suggesting Benin and ife had a connection.Or even archeological evidence[/s]
Tell your parents to buy your the book.

The scholars (Elizabeth A. Isichei, Peter U. Isichei, and Adam Knobler) have already cited the book as my comment shows.

The same book which they all cited is entitled “Benin and the Europeans 1485-1897”, Published (1969), Page 31.

Your parents are responsible for buying you the book. Not those professors who cited it, and neither me who referred to their citation.

Your parents should be able to afford the book. Don’t you agree? grin

Every other thing you typed up here are your usual meaningless jibbber-jabber which is anyways already debunked in the very comment you quoted.

We should not be doing this if the last Oba of Benin has not tried to rewrite history.

The survey was conducted by Bradbury in Benin kingdom, among the Edos.

All the Edos groups mentioned in the report confessed to Bradbury that their daddies and mommies were sold into slavery by the Yorubas.

Your Edo ancestors were not embarrassed to confess that to Bradbury.

You (on the other hand) are embarrassed on behalf of your daddies and mommies.

Your embarrassment is understandable. grin

This too shall pass.

First of all, the EUrOpEaN author whose name you’re afraid to mention is A. F. C. Ryder.

He never claimed to make any finding. In his words he only suggested an hypothesis.

Having said that:
(1) Four years after the hypothesis in the above attachment has been put forward by A. F. C. Ryder; he himself is reported (in a joint publication by Professors Elizabeth Allo Isichei & Peter Uche Isichei) to have abandoned his own hypothesis.

These professors of African history note in their joint work, “A History of Nigeria”, as follows:

It is noteworthy that Ryder, who questioned the Ife connection and argued the case for the linkages with a northern kingdom, abandoned the line of argument in his later book, Benin and the Europeans.

(2) Moreover, Adam Knobler on page 47 of his “Mythology and Diplomacy in the Age of Exploration” also cites the same subsequent work of Ryder from 1969 in relation the dynastic dependence of Benin on Ife. See attached for Knobler’s statements and reference.

(3) Furthermore, his 1965 hypothesis (which has yielded no result till date) has been devastatingly debunked by many subsequent research — one of which is by Robin Horton which I have particularly expounded on at the link below.

Babe i know you are obsessed but Elizabeth A. Isichei & Peter Uche Isichei were just trying to sell their books by saying anything to connect the benin and ife theory dont you see

Ryders on the other hand is not, that's why despite public opinion he opined there Benin-ife connections was a lie

You shouldn't forget he is a researcher, he went ahead to get old European document of Benin history from various Europeans he used in his books and transcribed them

And yet if i ask you for the book ryders abandon his views on the Benin-ife myth you will begin to tell me how your parents are incapable to provide you your needslike you did in the screenshot

Leaving ryders opinion out of all these

Bring a European text from 1400 to 1897 acknowledging benin and ife had a connection

Broda tire o, do you actually know that they were speaking Yoruba (Ile ife dialect) inside the palace of the Oba of Benin before they stopped around the 19th century. The two major empire in the Southern Nigeria is the Benin empire and the Oyo empire both came through Oranmiyan a Prince from Ile Ife. The only thing about the Benin empire is that it is a mixture of Yoruba from Ile Ife and the Aborigines of Idu/Igodomigodo. Also there was no name like Yoruba around the 14-15 century until Ajayi Crowther used it to Unify all of us with same Language,
culture, traditions, norms and value system and from the same source Ile Ife, so during Benin did not want to be part of us, even when they were in Western Region, it was Oba Akenzua that was the major force that pushed for the creation of Mid West region.

Becareful what you debate, instead go and carryout a thorough research before you start saying rubbish on the net

Your first research should be the validity between the Benin and ife connections go for old European documents

Start researching from 1400 - 1897 when the empire ended if the European ever witnessed a benin-ife relationship

Then research two are all yorubas originally from ife

Remember European documented benin-owo, benin-ijebu, benin-igala, benin-eko relationships
.
Except the non existed benin-ife which was formed after amalgamation

I am benin, and i guess you're not from ife, so belive it when an indigene is telling his history

Well, Awolowo wasn’t yet born when the following contents of the attachments below (showing the proceedings of a meeting in Lagos) were published in the year 1903.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/12915204_3bb91d9be2ea45c5afd3f41e88728f3e_jpeg_jpeg645a15f18177fc5fe10c58c7cc98cb9c

I really do hope that Awolowo doesn’t have such miraculous power as to have influenced this meeting in favour of an Ife man even before he himself was born and when he himself is from Ijebu rather than from Ife.

Having exposed that, is there anyone else apart from Awolowo that you have in mind?

If so, please name such person and provide details with supporting evidence if possible.

Cheers!
