I just heard from the grapevine that UK is closing borders on Monday. How true is this?

It's not true. They are only suspending the travel corridors. The travel corridors exempted inbound travellers from certain countries from the requirement to quarantine for 10 days but now people travelling from those countries need to show a negative Covid-19 test result if arriving the UK from 4am on Monday, in addition to isolating for 10 days.
Nigeria isn't on the corridor list so negative Covid-19 test result for travellers from Nigeria should have come into effect from 4am 2 days ago.
Edit: it didn't kick off for Nigeria and countries outside the safe travel corridor on Friday as scheduled, it's now Monday, January 18 for all countries.

Now my husband is in Lagos, will they allow him to collect it from TLS it for me? ( he is my dependant but he didnt apply the visa with me). If the will allow him, what document should i give to him

Why i am in a rush is that my school gave me till 1st February to be in Uk or to defer till next year January. Mine was Standard application on 22nd December. Someone should please kindly reply

Thanks for the update, just checked again now. I used "should have" because the last I checked it should have kicked off for Nigeria and countries outside the safe travel corridor on Friday and I wasn't sure if it actually kicked off from then.

It’s not an organized school. You’d even thank your stars, if you ever get a feedback on your application. I’d say apply (It’s free afterall), but apply to other schools as well so you won’t waste your time.

Go to the bank first thing tomorrow (any bank) and get it done. I’m saying this cos my account officer notified me on Friday that CBN has released funds for Form A. So better go grab before it finishes again.

They also conducted a Kira interview for me coz I was earlier rejected by Canada which I told them myself in the application.I got an email from them yesterday that my admission was rejected because I couldn’t convince them Enough why I was refused.now I don’t want my 28days or keeping the funds to waste. Good day ppl, I’m filling the visa form, pls what’s the best response to give here for a child not up to 2yrs and can’t fill for herself? (Under declaration stage) (Attached)

Is it “I am the applicant aged under 18”? Meaning she is the one filling the form herself.

Or “i am the parent/guardian aged under 18 filling on his behalf” (incase I’m to choose this option, when asked if I’ll be using someone else fund, the answer should be No right? Since I’m now applying as the parent and not as the child applying herself)

Also pls, if there is any issue surrounding spouse dependent visa application for instance, can it affect main applicant with the children’s own? Or each applicant are being judged on individual basis?

Eg. Granting main applicant and children visa then refuse spouse dependent that has issue or will they rather refuse everyone including main applicant since both parents need to be together for the kids?

You won't be uploading any files before payment. It comes in stages, once you are done filling the application form, you will be directed to make payment for your IHS and afterwards, visa payment. Once done, you will then proceed to TLS platform through the same platform for visa application, it will redirect you to the TLS where you will then proceed to book your biometric appointment. If you choose self-service, then you will be required to upload your documents yourself.

You can track your application through the TLS website. Just log on to your visa application page and proceed to TLS just as you did when you wanted to book your biometrics

The answer should be No if it came up because you signed for your child. If it comes up anywhere else, it should be yes but with your name as the owner of the funds to be used.

yes, he can collect it, give him the slip they gave you after your biometrics, let him also go with a means of identification and your marriage certificate.

I assume you must have gotten collection mail.

It must not be done at private lab centre.. there are State and Federal govt approved centres in all states, tests are accepted from there
