signaldoctor:
Good morning, please I want to be sure my visa application has no issues.
I applied for Tier2 standard visa on 27th November 2020 and had my biometrics on the 30th November 2020. I got a not straightforward message on the 13th working day
Today is the 31st working day. I have also escalated once. Today will make it the 15th working day following escalation and a decision is still yet to be made at the home office.
I have also been tracking it via TLS app and it’s still at the DMC.
I am confused as to either waiting for a reply which I don’t know when it would be or canceling the application. Please I need your advice
Just call them today to find out if a decision has been made, then keep in touch with your trust.
Let them know your visa is not out yet.
U cnt cancel after biometrics has been done but u can withdraw your application.
However you will lose Your visa fees

Workingmama:

Hello justwise, hello everyone
Please can you give me some insight on my situation
I applied for a standard visit visa on the 5th of December
Went for biometrics in Abuja on the 11th
Received by DMC on the 15th
No mail from them till today- day 17th workinday day
Called ukvi today and I was told no decision has been made yet and the case would be escalated, I would have to wait another 15 days.

Any idea what could be going on? I know someone that did biometrics with me on the same day same venue that has received his visa,
Should I be worried
I had planned to travel by the end of this month

I finally got my passport back today with visa granted.
Guess not every application is processed within the 15 days window now...probably because of COVID-19.
Thanks everyone on this thread. Reading some of the comments gave me hope.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Cyclops33: 7:56pm On Jan 15, 2021
There is a general problem with the app used for tracking, November 18 is a long long time ago, I think you should visit their office for Collection to see if it’s already there or call ukvi or send a mail

Instead of carrying your leg there, u can send an email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk and

public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk

Perhaps they will reply and/or give u other information.

Good evening people. Pls i seriously need help. I had my interview last year September for EEA family permit and no response till now, so i contacted TLS and they said i should log in thru the email link sent by gov.uk to track my application so that they can send my passport that it's ready, but the problem is that the link in my email from gov.uk it's displaying "Page not found" check website correct". Please what do i do from here as i am seriously confused.

A friend of mine who is 27 years old lives in Nigeria, but his mother who is about 70 years old travelled to the England when he was just 3 years of age, now that she is old, is there a way that she can send for him to come and take care of her in England considering her age and his age too?.. Is there any England visa law that makes provision for such a case?

Please chairman...
Do you have any idea or know someone who has an idea on this question?...

1.Has he visited the mum in the UK before?

2. Is the mum alone in the UK?

UPDATE.
I got the Visa
Online submission- Dec 2nd
Biometric at Abuja center - Dec 14th
TLS mail for collection - Jan 7th (the 15th working day)
DHL delivered it today- Jan 12th

I made my online application very very simple keeping in mind my cover letter might not be looked at during decision making. So i maximized the use of the 1000 words place. I knew way back when exactly i will be applying for Visa so i took my time to prepare my bank account, the necessary supporting documents, Visa requirements and i read a lot of refusal mails just to know what i should avoid (Apart from the disposable income stuff grin). Most importantly, i did not LIE anywhere in my app.
I appreciate everyone on this thread esp giselle237 who seems to be an OG here and has knowingly or unknowingly contributed to the success stories of thousand of individuals. For those that got refusals, don't be afraid to start all over again and make sure to keep it simple.

@annonymous2, please I sent you a dm. Plab 2 visa enquiry

Please has anyone travelled from UK to Nigeria recently ? I’m traveling this week and I would like to know where I can get my covid test done and how much it’s going to cost me. I have read through seeing PCR test and Antigen test. I don’t know the one to do. Kindly assist with your experience. Thank you.

can u share document submitted sir

Shared all what I do TRUTHFULLY, I didn't add or subtract anything,
I work and do biz, got the evidences of biz transactions as well as salary and employment details, and family details as well.

Importantly too, Since you aren't sure your cover letter wouod be read, make good use to summarize everything in the last space on your form. State them clearly to go in line with what you submitted.

Desperation was out of my summary, I think I made them know that all I stated and submitted is true and I don't really gave a damn whether they approve the visa or not!

My brother, no be do or die for me!, I am sure that's what helped..... I might be wrong, but that's what I did.

Depends on your qualification and job profile. What do you do? If you can say a bit more about your career and skill set, I'm sure people in that field will be able to guide you.

You can check out the UK shortage occupation list as well.

Good day all and happy new year. Please I need some clarification. My wife, a nurse relocated to UK following the route of Tier2 Skilled worker and her employer paid for all the traveling processes with a 3months accommodation. In her CoS, it was ticked by employer to certify Maintenance

Now I am applying as a defendant, would I need proof of funds and also am I required to physically present the original copy of our marriage certificate? I am with the scanned copy and photocopy as she took the original along with her.

Thanks
