Hi guys!

I'm fairly new here. Been reading and catching up. Wish I joined this thread before my spouse applied. We ended up using an immigration consultant living in Canada.

Please is there anyone who applied in November and has received an approval?

Hubby applied alone in November (after a refusal in September). We are yet to get any feedback from our consultant.

She also added all the NSE requirements (IELTS, mybankstatement, upfront medicals) even though we did not get NSE request.

His classes were to start on the 11th of January but he has deferred to March intake since there's been no response.

Anyone in our shoes please? We are getting so antsy waiting for a response.

It shall end in praise by God's grace

I guess you mean he deferred to May not March. Well, has he done medicals before the initial rejection, if yes await good news. If no, he should go ahead and do upfront medical. By the way, some even applied in December and have gotten PPR. It's not easy to be kept waiting but just be patient.
It will surely end in praise.

Currently working in the oil and gas industry.

The course of study is an MSc in Environmental and Life Sciences (MELS) Program at Brandon University. The MELS Program is an interdisciplinary one that combines the fields of biology, chemistry, environmental science, geography, and geology. It's is also thesis-based (two years) so you will have to secure a research supervisor prior to applying for admission into the program.

viviangogos:
Congratulations to you Shaman. Your resilience is quite commendable. I saw you studied Geology. What area were you working, what course and school are you pursuing for this PG studies? Will indeed appreciate your kind response.

Maternal or paternal uncle?
She should provide the corresponding birth certificate (which is a govt issued I.D) of her mum or Dad to show relationship with the uncle. Plus their respective passports, a family tree diagram in the SOP would help, plus family pictures
What he/she meant by distant relative is that they didn't share same surname, that's why she refers to the sponsor as her "uncle"(that's my understanding). In cases like this, showing commitment (paying the applicant's tuition fee and living expenses before application)will convince the vo. Also, if the sponsor has ever assisted the applicant in the past it will be nice to also draw the vo's attention to it

Thank you very much for this.

Lekiboboe:

1) There is no school with cheap tuition in Canada, international students pay more than domestic students & 95% of universities in Canada are ok. To increase your Scholarship & Admission chances, take your time & explore schools in Canada offering M.SC in Civil Engineering

See the link below for

Masters in Civil Engineering Programs & the Schools offering them (Over 35 Canadian Universities)
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Civil+Engineering&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

You have a good CGPA to be qualified for a Funded Masters program, but good CGPA is just one of the requirement and atimes not enough. You have some work to do to secure a funded Masters Program in Canada e.g Searching for Potential Supervisors (Professors), Sending Cold Mails to Professors of Civil Engineering etc.

The contents in the Link below will guide you on

How to apply for MASTERS/PH.D programs in Canadian Universities and also get possible FUNDED M.SC/PH.D scholarship (Full or Partial Funded SCHOLARSHIP)
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556

2) Your second question needs a based on experience response, gurus & members who have passed through this path/route would be able to enlighten you

hello gurus, please I need to plot my career path but I not so clear on somethings.
- is it possible to land a job with a college certificate ? I graduated with 2:2 so I am planning on going for PGD then Masters if possible
- do I need to show another proof of funds if going for Masters after my PGD?
-how is the process of getting PR after ,will it be PGWP then PR or how does it work?
PLEASE HELP ME.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Lekiboboe: 11:08am On Jan 19, 2021
Good Morning Honorables,

Apology to derail the thread partially, cos this involves PGWP to PR & moving to another province after getting PR

A quick one

Is it possible to leave a Province where an Applicant got a PR via their PNP?

E.g
a guy schooled in Alberta, did his one year PGWP in Saskatchewan, got PR via SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) but he eventually had a lucrative job offer in another Province (Manitoba) and want to relocate, is this possible?

If yes, is there a period (months/years) the applicant needs to stay in that province before relocating to another province

If No, what's the way forward?

Am asking this question so the applicant won't have his PR revoke by IRCC or SINP and also an opportunity for us to learn

Thanks

Yes, the sponsor submitted his international passport and also paid her tuition fee from his bank. Both the passport and receipt were attached to his initial application.
mcobex:
Did the sponsor submitted his international passport or any recognised form of identification? If yes, do they have same surname?
As a 3rd party, the sponsor is supposed to show commitment by paying the said fund (tuition and living expenses) into the applicant's account or pay the tuition fee to the school before application

The relative is from our mother side and he's kind of distant really, so we thought using family tree might have a negative impact reason why we didn't include it in the previous application.
TheShaman:
You need to establish/show a family link between her and said relative. A family tree diagram is one way to show the relationship. Also, endeavor to add family pictures showing both your sister and the relative if possible.

For his course in Saskatchewan Polytechnic, (business management)...there's a March start date actually. Next intake after that is September. They don't have May intake for that course.

And yes he did and submitted an upfront Medical. Along with mybankstatement certificate and IELTS (CLB 10).

We cannot really understand why it's taking so long since November. Yet some December people have gotten approvals.

You are right, maternal relative but not so immediate. The sponsor paid her tuition fee which was stated in her previous application. There's plan for the sponsor to send 3M to her account one month to her re application now but we are trying to get what the VO meant by that statement so as to guide in the document to also add.

Yes, the sponsor submitted his international passport and also paid her tuition fee from his bank. Both the passport and receipt were attached to his initial application.
Then the vo made a mistake. She can appeal the case (if she has the time and resources) or reapply and BOLDLY state her sponsor has showed commitment by paying her fees, so she doesn't know why they delayed her based on her sponsor

Hello everyone!!!

Please I need some clarifications on the following issues:

1. I graduated with a 2:2 public administration, (bsc) can a pgd in human resources management or project management go with my university degree, which of them is better

2. Am planning to move with my family ( hubby and son) we have a landed property in Nigeria and am planning to start up a company in the country where I reside, and also we are permanent residents here. I want to use them as home ties, is it enough

3. The intention is to get PR after the study, if I start the pgd by 2022, and there's a new government by 2023, will it affect the international graduate PR route, because I wouldn't have been through by then.

4. I will be using my Naira statement of account to apply for nse hope it won't be a problem.

These are my concerns, please kindly clarify me, thanks

Wow that's serious so sorry bro. I think they are now starting to make this NSE thingy a kind of compulsion maybe they are starting to see that people are not responding it by sitting out on it that's why @Sleekcee got a clause in her letter maybe at least one should respond to one of the requirements if you can't meet up with the two requirements but if you can meet up with the two the Better it's like they are now using this NSE request as a leverage who knows I don't even understand their ways but there are other reasons sha they look at.Its well!!!.

I think so too...I just have to write the IELTS now
