I just want to point out that for those planning to go to schools in Quebec, their PR process is different from the rest of Canada and can get a bit more complicated than English-speaking provinces. Primarily due to French Language requirements and other different steps in their process.

Something to bear in mind as you start your study journey.

Kindly explain further please.

Are you going for post graduate program? Most schools exempt Nigerians from taking IELTS or any other English exams since Nigeria is an English speaking country and the language of instruction for schools in Nigeria is English language. I haven't checked McMasters if they exempt Nigerians, but I am sure Saskatchewan does. Read the pages well and you will get the information you seek
okay okay should I apply for two schools or I should just focus on one , thanks

Good day to everyone in the house and special greetings to those contributing highly to see others successfully getting their TRV. I am learning a lot after my first refusal...I’m a silent reader on this platform. I was refused Study Permit in September 2020 due to purpose of visit and financial reasons. I already got my gcms note.

I want reapply, my questions is,

1. Is it now mandatory we all have to write IELTS?

2. Is mandatory we all go through the NSE route?

I asked because I haven’t written IELTS before and with the nature of my job it’ll be hard to write it now..And I will appreciate a lot if someone can help me review my LOE/SOP to see if I tackled all necessary issues highlighted from my previous refusal..Thanks!!

How did you tackle issue of 'purpose of visit'

Esekaris1:
PPR just dropped.

2nd application,

My story is a unique one, aside from the rejection reason of
Purpose of visit and family ties

I was diagnosed of tuberculosis, when I went for medicals at iom, I had to go to the hospital everyday for 8 solid months to take drugs.

In all, God is faithful

Applied again 7th October,

Got NSE REQUEST 26th November

Submitted NSE 8th December

But I submitted 6 months my bankstatement instead of 12 months. Was scared, LoL

But thank God and thank everyone here esp Hon Frank, This place is family.

Please how do go about to send it to vfs Abuja, no time to waste, school has started

And for the consent form, it can be filled with biro right?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by RichieJayy: 5:07pm On Jan 20, 2021
Thanks for the clarity much appreciated, now I want to proofread, can anyone help with that.

Lekiboboe:

1) It is not mandatory for you to write IELTS if it's the regular channel of Canada Study Visa Application you want to follow (15 weeks Processing time),
but
if you want your Application to be processed via the NSE route (20 days Processing time), IELTS is Mandatory, and you must have the required band score.

2) It is not mandatory for you to reapply through NSE, the choice is yours

Either you reapply via the,

Regular Channel (presently 15 weeks)

or

NSE route (20 days Processing time)

Good afternoon house,
Please eligibility review started today. Also, they said they are already reviewing my medical result. My concern is that, I didn't Medical request letter neither did I do upfront medical. I was just wondering what medical result they are reviewing. I hope it wont have any negative effect on my application.
Hopefully you will get medical invitation soon. I will advise you book for your medical date ASAP (pending when IRCC officially sends your medical invitation).

6.2m after tuition is enough to cater for both the remaining of your tuition and 10k CAD living expenses. What's wrong with this people sef

Reason why you need to package your MASTERS ADMISSION APPLICATION well before submitting, even those other applicants with much higher CGPA might not get the admission if they fail to do their due diligence.

Apart from
- University Transcript
- Academic Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Most Universities do require their applicants to submit a
- Convincing Personal Statement or Letter of Intent or Statement for Purpose

And the Admission Selection Committee of these schools do make use of this Letter of Intent as a deciding factor to know if an applicants will be successful in getting the Admission or not.

If you are sponsoring yourself then you have to show funds to cover the entire duration of your program because you are not supposed to work while studying (even if you do it won't be enough to cover for your fees as you are only allowed to work around 20hrs/week). But if you have a sponsor then he/she needs to show available fund for at least the first year then show means of getting funds to cover subsequent years.

Good Afternoon House

I'm looking to apply for a Master's Programme in Canada. But before I begin the process I'll like to know if Canada does Extensive Immigration/ Background check for Student visa applicants. I don't have a Criminal record in Nigeria. But I had one in the Uk and was also deported a few years ago. If I don't state that I have traveled to the UK. Would Canadian immigration find out about my Criminal record and Deportation?

Canada,UK, Newzealand,USA, Australia are best friends and jolly good fellow they share information so if you don't declare it that you have travelled to the UK they might find out that's part of the Background check and information sharing processes please declare it and be at peace with yourself then pray about it!!!.You can explain in the LOE what happened and if it's no fault of yours then they might not use it against you at time's saying the truth and declare it as it is works in one's favour but most importantly ask God to take control!!!

Yes they would find out, and you not mentioning it in your application will complicate things the more.

Yes they do, so it is better you declare it and tell them how the said issue came about.
What kind of criminal activity was it that got you deported? If it is something you can explain then you might be considered, but if not I doubt they will allow you into Canada.
But it is better you declare it and try to explain your reasons behind it and let them know times have changed since then, if you don't declare they will eventually know and that's around 5 years ban and makes your cases even more complicated
