I never said God sees the heart not your appearance, I said God sees your heart, so don't try to think you can deceive God by your appearance. it's obvious Muslims think they can deceive God through their appearance. A Muslim girl fornicates and aborts but because she covers up she doesn't have free ticket to sin according to you but because a Christian doesn't hide her own then she has free ticket to sin. In Christianity, it is your heart that should change first ( not your appearance first) because out of the heart proceeds evil or good. So as a Christian following Christ, your heart changes first, which means you now hate sin, your thought changes too, then your dressing changes because you want to glorify God with your dressing (we don't force people to cover up like Muslims, you decide on your own because you have met Christ). There is no need covering up to appease humans in Christianity because it's not humans that will judge you. Whether you cover up ( in the case of pretenders/ Muslims) or not (Christians with free ticket to sin according to you) God judges the heart.

My own question is why not leave this Hellfire issue and concentrate on what is there to gain if one happens to be a true believer?

That request of the rich man in hell fire has been granted by God on several occasions, as He's sent many people like Lazarus to testify of hell fire's existence to those alive on Earth who've never been there before, so that they wouldn't have to also go there as the rich man just because they didn't know that it existed.

But if despite the warnings of all these people that God had sent from the dead to testify of hell fire's existence, you still end up in hell fire as the rich man because you wanted to see hell fire first before you believed in its existence, you wouldn't have anyone else to blame but yourself, because the same testimony of hell fire you wasted, was that which the rich man in hell fire wished he had to prevent him from getting there.

Let me put this in lay mans language so that you will really understand. Maybe the way i have been saying it is to hard for you.

Man was created by God. Man was fashioned from the dust of the earth, you know like an artist does. Then God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. So Gods breath brought the statue to life. So when God takes his breath man stop breathing and man dies. What you have left is just the statue or a lifeeless body. So we bury it and let it turn to dust because it used to accomodate Gods breath.
