How come my review of additional documents is still showing “We need additional documents to continue processing...”? The deadline of the NSE was Dec 26 ooo, it’s over a month sef.

Have you done medicals upfront?

This is to encourage all those who have been delayed of their visa in the past.
I submitted my first application on 10/10/2019 for a PhD in industrial systems engineering and got denied on Nov 2019 with an upfront medicals.
Reason.Purpose of visit and family ties.
I applied again on DEC 2019 without applying for Gcms note and got rejected again on January 2019.
Reason. Current employment situation and family ties.
Before I applied the third time,I joined nairaland but never asked any question or posted anything, but I kept following what MR frank was always advising. I now applied the third time through paper application on Feb.24/2020.
They demanded submission for my new admission letter on 9/14/2020 which I submitted the same day.
I got AIP on 9/25/2020
Redo medical on 10/19/2020
I did my medical on 3/11/2020 and IOM told me it has been sent to embassy on 5/11/2020
I didn't care to link the account to online account.
I got BVL on 1/20/2020
Then approval on 1/25/2020.

Never lose hope cos it must surely end in praise.

Thanks Frank for following you on nairaland.

Good day house,

Who has paid tuition via Form A recently? Which bank and what rate? I'm so tired of Zenith Bank, it's the 3rd week already.

First and Foremost, you need an international passport prior to kick starting the process of travelling abroad. So go obtain a passport in any close passport office within your location.

Hello everyone, is there any issue for a study permit applicant that can only show tuition & maintenance fees of first year for a 2yr PGD in a uni. Is it compulsory one has complete tuition & maintenance fees for the 2 yrs? Please help respond.

If the applicant is self-sponsored, then he/she has to provide adequate funds that would cover for the entire duration of the program. However, in the scenario that the applicant is being sponsored by someone (parents or siblings), the sponsor must demonstrate financial sufficiency for the first year of study in Canada.

Good evening all,

Please I am trying to put together my visa application. I had written in my SOP that myself and hubby will sponsor my study.

Now my uncle in Canada wants to pay part of my tuition. Do you think its a good idea or will it complicate things?

Please gurus in the house, help. I need candid advice.

Anyone can assist in paying your tuition fee, it doesn't matter and in no way does it complicate anything in your application. Clearly state in your letter of explanation that your husband was responsible for the tuition payment to show his readiness to sponsor your studies in Canada.

You can certainly gain admission with your HND Certificate at several colleges in Canada. You also don't require WES Evaluation prior to applying.

You can check schools like: Humber College, Fanshawe College, Conestoga College or Mohawk College.

Thank you so much for your input. I will check them out.

Hello everyone
Please I was sent NSE from the embassy on the 17th of November since then till now is two months and some week's but the embassy hasn't given me any response yet please what can I do please??

The Immigration have received your NSE response and currently reviewing your file. At this point, I would suggest you contact Nairobi immigration office via Webform to inquire about the current status of your application and inquire if they need any additional information/documents from you to expedite the processing of your file.

I can't find it here, maybe because my application still says in progress.

My eligibility shows recommend interview, criminality passed, medicals passed, info sharing in progress and final shows blank.

Please can someone explain what it means?

Not to worry yourself over nothing. I have reviewed several GCMS notes with "Recommend Interview" which was later approved. Hang in there, your approval will suffice soon.

Thank you so much. The primary office reviewing my application is Nairobi and the secondary office is London. I have not been sending webforms to London but I will start doing that now even though I have been copying them in the mails sent.

Channel your energy to Nairobi Immigration office not London because your visa counterfoil will be issued by the visa office in Nairobi.

Wow! Such detailed explanation!!!

Thank you so much for this. God bless you.

I will take him off and focus on me and hubby.

Frankrobbn1:

Congratulations on the receipt of Admission at University of Alberta. Please don't use your employer as your sponsor, this will reduce your chances of getting approval. There are several concerns from the visa officer that follows using a third party (employer) as a sponsor to an international student. Those questions include:

1. Why is your employer sponsoring you?
2. What have you done for the company and now wants to sponsor your studies abroad instead of Nigeria (a cheaper option).
3. How many years have you been working for this employer?
4. What does the company stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship?
5. Is there any legal agreement/bond between you and your employer that confirm your return to them after the completion of your studies in Canada?
6. Why are you an outstanding candidate amidst other employees in the company?
7. Are the board of directors aware of your employer's intent to finance your studies abroad?
8. Is there any board resolution letter to back up your employer's claim?

Now, you can see the gravity of questions that needs to be adequately answered by your employer if he intends sponsoring your education in Canada. In light of this, you're better off using him as your Uncle while he pays your first year tuition and transfer funds into your personal dorm account to show financial accessibility.

I hope this information is helpful to your inquiry.

The message means your stamped passport has been returned back to VFS by IRCC so i think you should chase UPS to follow up with VFS Abuja to collect your passport.

But if you are not in a hurry, you can be patient for the courier to do the needful.

Congrats.

There are no appointment times? Just like Biometrics?

I went there and filled the form for mine. They said I should get my hopes up cuz dollar is scarce. They said that it is subject to availability.

Can someone over there pay for it on ones behalf? How do we present such transaction while writing the SOP?

Definitely. Someone can pay the tuition for you over there. How you'll talk about it is at your discretion. If you're not prepared to talk about your relationship with the person that paid, you may just be silent about it.

For me, I only requested and attached to my application a letter from the school stating I had paid the deposit and it sufficed.

Thank you Mr. Frank. I was at the bank yesterday and the official said something in the line. He said getting dollars from CBN is now like a bid due to its scarcity and they were able to secure 405/$ for me.

Which bank would you suggest? I will withdraw the funds and process with another bank.
