The way forward is to go solar, The NEPA did not supply electricity for about 2 years to my house now and i don't care about that any longer because i generated light through solar.
The initial cost was high but the long run benefit is so satisfying..
The way to go, the 5k nepa tokens I bought a year ago is still remaining small, 1k fuel I bought in my generator tank has dried up because we have forgotten that there is anything like gen.

Logical reasoning is so hard for many of you. Continue bypassing meter and complaining about govt corruption. Foolish folks all over the place.

Solar is the future. Install it and direct any disco you subscribe with to come and carry their meter.....

A medium apartment can power his/her household with 1000/2000watts inverter
For those that desire AC much 2.5kva etc.

The higher the load the higher the cost...

how much for 2000 Watts that can last 15 hours?

There is no difference between you all and the supposed 'people in government' that you are criticizing. That is just the bitter truth. Nigerians want a better society but at the same time they break traffic laws, litter the environment, sort in school, bypass meter etc. Those 'in govt' did not drop from the sky - they are a reflection of the society, so as you are pointing the finger, remember the remaining 4 are pointing right back at you.

You should preach to the people in govt first before facing those who are bearing the brunt of their mismanagement. Go and check the 1st page of this thread and see how many Nigerians are out of business due to overhead costs. Same govt is now sharing 5k to same people they impoverished. Go to NL front page and see the latest ranking of govt on corruption by same govt that took power on anti-corruption

Where did the government come from? Are they aliens? You all want to support wrong things in day to day lives but expect integrity from those same wrongdoers when they get into govt, how exactly? My comment was directed to the guy who talked about bypassing meter, if you are in support of that, please DO NOT complain about corruption anywhere whether in govt or a company or anywhere else.

Na true You talk. Some people are practically selling almost their items and essential stuff. It is more than relocating within Lagos. You cant be selling almost all your stuff relocating with Lagos.

fineboynl:
there is a thread on nairaland called the clearance sales.

if you visit that thread is will see that's homes are folding up in Nigeria as people selling off their household property especially from Lagos and Abuja relocating to God knows where.

everyone just clearing their entire household property and running away from the country.

my eyes is on benin republic. I heard life is cheaper there.

No problem.

As long as the "Sai Babaians" are paying the same rate, it is fair.

We will see who go first quench.

This government has perfected lies and deceit and I pity anyone that believes even their greeting. When they say good morning, start running, there is nothing good in their good morning. In my place that we get half current less than 12 hours a day, I pay #50.54 per kwh as against #27.00 before the recent hike which APC government claimed to have suspended.

The electricity Tariff hike by the Discos is just alarming.
N50,000 worth of token in June 2020 gave me 2183.7Kwh

Today, I went to the same place and bought the same N50,000 worth of token gave me 991.1Kwh.

Yet, the FG suspended the recent tariff and it will take effect this month end. Maybe N50,000 token will not give me more than 200Kwh.

Naija which way

I experienced same thing yesterday, I normally recharge 10k but realized I got half of what I got on my last recharge

This government is something else, very wicked
