Get daikin ac for good
Do they have a showroom or can I get it from cash and carry?

Do they also have a 2hp? I understand some brands don't have

After sales service should be your preference, and Fouani offers that excellently. So I'd advise you go for LG or Hisense. However, do well to avoid the Inverter specs, they're terrible... I'm still regretting.

I actually opened this thread to recommend Daikin.
I was going to buy Panasonic sometimes last year when my budget pushed me to Daikin and I have no regret so far

Me personally I use Samsung that was brought from south Korea home use not for export
But later found out dat daikin was very good and you can actually put yur outdoor unit very far from the indoor and still get the same cooling but it doesn't apply to other AC
Copper outside unit rocks sha

Kindly share your regret. Your story might make me to cancel as I can't buy the normal one because of prepaid. I might decide to cancel entirely from your experience

That brother that said I should stay away from the inverter type, I'll love to hear his regret.

Samsumg are voltage friendly but it just dat the outside unit is normally made with aluminium which over time years might Start to leak gas and it always difficult to seal them

Firstly, I bought a 1.5hp LG inverter ac, hoping my 3kva gen. would power it without stress... It didn't.
Also, it has a Gen mode which reduces compressor power (and cooling) but my healthy 3kva still couldn't power it.
Secondly, it doesn't cool as well as the conventional ac's (even by their own admission)... It cools like a good ceiling fan when the windows are open.
Thirdly, in one year, they've had to do 3 gas refills.
Finally, it has a common complaint of leakage from the indoor and outdoor units.

As for power saving, I'm sure your fan would save you a lot more power.

Depends on the size of the room, a 1hp or 1.5hp AC will do.
