Insecurity everywhere in Nigeria, it has become a crime to be a success businessman, even if you are a business owner and not yet successful, you are not spared. If they can attack POS operators, no business person is safe in this Country. Failed Government .....spits |

Interesting puzzle here A lack of forward planning supported by facts backed up with statistics is the underlying problem here. Changing and effecting the rules in the book now has compounded the problem!! Ifesinachi22: Restructuring may sound good but I wonder where the finances for the restructure, will vone from... And what are we restructuring to.. The building is very rickety, unsafe due to previous add-ons... I'm not entirely sure what principles of restructuring will enable an equitable access to all members of the family. Ifesinachi22: Terminating the leadership.. I ask at what level At the level of the sons who rather than set up their own businesses and living in their own family estates still shack up with other siblings and now steal from themselves - as the fathers business is theirs effectively - - - yes!! A new manager might break up the old status quo, identify areas of growth and opportunity, but at who's agenda. I will state that managing a polity/country is very different from managing a multinational or corporate firm. The agendas and ensuing loyalties with different historical perspectives are sooo different, its mind boggling. Lastly these corporate exercises are usually for a few years to determine profit, otherwise the next hawk is round the corner to dismantle and pick at the rich helpings whilst tossing away the unproductive bits. Those principles of short term-ism, huge focus on capitalism without a social welfare structure for the weak, injured and distracted has led to a short term success hinged on a decades of perrenial failure of society. Ifesinachi22: Watch and pray has been in existence for the past 3 decades or more. It has not led to a significant change in status but light be responsible for the House still being together. It's clear that's no longer the only solution if we want a strong, working and lasting democracy Ifesinachi22: Breaking the House comes at a cost Lack of accommodation, livelihood and also runs the risk of a refugee situation. These internal and external factors runs the risk of turning Africa, at least West Africa into a refugee wasteland for 5-10 years at the minimum. Therefore its in the best interest of surrounding West African countries to desist from being puppets of maleficients who want a destruction of the entity called Nigeria. The initial rich pickings at the early days of trouble will come back to haunt and lead to their downfall invariably. The vermin or anti-nation will only flow from one nation to another!! That's what our Pan African elders saw decades ago, and tried fostering this brotherhood of sorts, to hopefully prevent this from happening !! The AU and tentacles will become ineffective at this time. Ifesinachi22: My surmise is a bit of all of the above. 1. Take stock of the assets and liabilities within time frames 2. Understand your stakeholders and assess their importance within the historic context. 3. Understand your paretos in a timelinked manner 4. Understand the effective manners of governance, getting the political will 5. Understudy other democracies that are similar in size, mindset and histories and identify any potentials that can be copied 6. Constitution wasn't written in a day.. Averagely it takes about 3 years.. Despite the call for restructuring, I honestly doubt if this process has been undertaken robustly. Definitely not revised by the populace!! 7. Time lines and trajectories should be pencilled in... Vis a vis other longterm forward planning objectives, once the people have been bought over... Natl Institute of Stats alongside other multi departmental think tanks involving security, economy, education, health, agriculture and justice should have 3 monthly forecasts devoid of any political influence. Based on stats from local, regional - WA - ECOWAS, Africa as a whole - AU, Developing nation and different trading bodies we belong to. 8. Buying over people is the hardest due to our heterogeneous histories and experience.. But the slogan focusing on building better regions for ourselves, children and generations yet unborn.... Might work. Transparency alongside education is a Must.. Then there's a fighting chance!! 1 Like |

If you're lucky enough to live abroad, STAY PUT! Don't go to Nigeria for a visit no matter how tempting it is! If it's a burial, use zoom. If it's a naming ceremony, use zoom, use WhatsApp, use any app to attend virtually! It saves you money and your life! There is nothing in Nigeria for you except death! You have escaped the shithole, embrace it! Argue with your ancestors! 4 Likes |

The OP is yet to say what the story line is......whether PDP in Edo state is not doing well or that APC in Edo state could have done better Or is he repotting about the Atlanta man that was kidnapped and killed possibly by Fulani herdsmen .... Or that the country is now a joke where many things happen and nobody cares except when it affects the high class ... OP, are you angry that Edo is not Lagos? |

It is a pity that APC in Edo state are still in bitterness of their rejection by the good people of Edo state so sad this some of them will leave the substance and will be pursuing the shadow.the issues of insecurities in the country lies ultimately the d federal government of which APC are in charge reason be that they control all securities apparatus .mr poster please stop playing politics with the life of the people and properties |

post=98697022: Chase clout with your moniker?? Butterfly feeling himself an eagle. I told you the last time I am only fulfilling the scripture which says "TELL A FOOL HE IS A FOOL LEST HE CONTINUES WITH HIS FOOLISH WAYS". I asked you a question what is the Commander in Chief doing about the general insecurity all over the Nation? He is in control of all the security apparatus of this Nation so what is he doing about the high level of insecurity ravaging the entire Nation not just Edo State? |
