Amen... this is how to talk and make comment not make utterances to insult and set the nation on fire. RIP to the dead security is alapse in Nigeria these days; let all coming home take good care ... we should avoid these travels during this pandemic if possible.

May his soul rest in peace. The poster exerted more energy in chastising the PDP which controls Edo state but has little control of the federal police and army, than condemning the brutal act of the kidnappers. This is really very infantile. Even the best police in the world have crimes committed while on watch but what should limit crime is the ability to combine pro active action with post active action. When such crime is committed, the perpetrators will have less than ten percent chance of escape.

The police has killed off its goodwill with the people. The use of informants and rewards solve more crimes than frontal engagement. But alas, the police even sell, out informants, pocket their rewards and by so doing has closed the channel of information that should be helping them.

Nigeria is awash with weapons and criminal acts and it is not only in Edo state so quit linking PDP to the crimes in any form. The governor has no say in who becomes the CP of his state, neither does he have a say in personnel deployment. Every state should organise armed and trained vigilante while the police should compliment them and do traffic duties as they are semi uses now. Checkpoint Bribery and extortion of bail money have befuddled their brains coupled with the employment of sinister criminals in the rank and files of the force.

Every state should have their own brand of Ametokun because the police are army are there isn't to protect herdsmen.

Crimes in Edo State has quadruple since the release of well over 2000 prisoners during the EndSARS period.
Raping of women is now a daily occurrence.
Stealing killing and destruction is now the order of the day.

Good, Honest and hardworking Nigerians said it back then, but no one listened to us.
What a sad story.
May he RIP.

Hypocrites will avoid this part so bad.
Y'all should keep shouting Buhari Upandan while your governors, local government chairmen, councilors continue looting your lives and the lives of your unborn kids right in front of you.
Dem no dey telli person.
Na old una dey old dey go so, without using your brain to see where the problems in your lives really came from.
Misplaced priorities in life.

After PMB gave that huge amount of money to tackle security, the amount you read above up there, to your Governor,
you still went ahead to type this jargons.
(Almost ONE BILLION Naira every month paid to the Governor to secure his state!!)
You still went ahead to open your mouth calling Buhari!
Politics don do you something sha.
Hatred is really worse than HIV.

Just continue this your blind hatred for Nigeria, please never stop.....okay?
We know your type.
Keep chasing clout with our moniker...okay?
Na dere u dey so....
It is obvious who the failure you are talking about is...
It's so glaring.

I partially agree with you, however, like the Governor of Borno said, he is not in charge of the Police or the Army, those are controlled by the Federal Govt and the CinC. The State commissioner of Police reports to the IG who in turn reports to the CINC. Police is incharge of law enforcement. The Governors hands are tied as well. I think this rests with Buhari.

PRINCE DENNIS ABUDA

Mr Abuda, the ebullient man in the picture above, is a family head, a realtor and an insurance broker based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He is a NIDO member in Atlanta, Georgia.

He hailed from Fugar in Etsako Central LGA of Edo State. He visited Edo State recently. He was set to return from Nigeria last Saturday, back to the USA, in the process of which he was kidnapped in Benin City on his way to boarding a flight for Lagos enroute Atlanta before he could leave Edo State.

His kidnappers demanded N10m. But, regrettably and painfully, killed him before the entire saga could be resolved.

Remember his family and friends in your prayers this night and every other night as you read this dirge!

It is no longer arguable or debatable at this critical time, whether insecurity under the People's Democratic Party (PDP)-government of Edo State is more severe than insecurity in any other state or part of Nigeria or not. But what is crystally clear, however, is that the number of morbid and mortal victims of kidnapping and killings that are reported in Edo State is now grossly understated compared to unreported cases of insecurity and violence in Edo State.

For a state government, which Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, allegedly pockets about N750m as monthly security vote but which has largely been confused, incompetent and unsupportive of security agencies in the state with adequate new and modern tools, technique and architecture to tackle crimes and violence, and which local government council chairmen also emulate to pocket tens of millions of naira monthly as security vote, it has rather become convenient for the leaders of the governments (Governor and Chairmen) to unscrupulously govern the people and victims by politics, lies, propaganda, fraud and deception rather than by transparently focusing governance squarely on the security of lives and properties as well as reduction of poverty.

While the good people of Edo State mourn the untimely and painful death of another bread winner and responsible citizen of Edo State owing to the inability of government to take timely and critical life-saving decisions, which has no other name than sheer incompetence, we pray that God will give the family of Mr Abuda the fortitude to bear his loss.

Finally, we leave the prevaricating leaders of Edo State Government to provide an answer to the underlying question of its anti-people policies: who is the next victim(s) of kidnapping in Edo State?

Imagine this again. News like this will keep people like you away. It may be one of his relatives who plans to make money from him and it turns to his death. This is why people don't say anything to relatives and friends when they visit. They move in and out without letting anyone know about their itinerary. May the soul of this man rest in peace.

Well, a lot of established people do bad things to newcomers, or other oldtimers like themselves.

The end result is usually very fatal. God help you if those people know you're traveling home. Home, is where the score is usually settled.

However, that might not be applicable in this case.

The insecurity in Edo State is terrible. Honestly, I don't know what the Edo governor is doing about all these tragedies

Not every kidnapping is drug deal; however, it is a possibility. I kinda want to agree that people are not just kidnapped. And people come home every now and then. Anyway, it's only bad news that makes headlines. The number of people moving in and having nice time arent reported cos it doesnt make money for bloggers.

I had pity in my heart when I read of this man's demise but when the author started bashing OBASEKI I began to wonder. Do you really understand that this herdsmen are a national threat. You are narrowing it to OBASEKI haba.
