Your friend's problem is not spiritual; just an addiction which requires 100% discipline and strong will to break. Firstly, he should stop watching porn or fantasizing about girls. Next, he should undergo a no-fap challenge (either hardmode or softmode) for 90-180 days (search the benefits of no-fap on youtube). This will help reverse the effects of masturbation on the body and deal with addiction problem as well. to break the addiction. Also, I will advise him to fill his free time with healthy activities such as weight lifting. One is tempted to watch porn when he is bored. Also, he should take cold showers and exercise or do press-ups (100 reps) to increase his testosterone levels. He can take zinc supplements as well. He will come good if he follows these steps.

my dear. your friend's case is psychological. if he wants to stop it, he must refrain from porn, stay busy but when he s not busy he should engage in fasting on little on no food, the fasting is recommended to suppress sexual urges, if he abstains from masturbation for 30 days the addiction will grow weak and would disappear bt even if it disappears tell him to steer clear from porn so that it would not come back.
