Hello guys, I'm here to share my whole admission to visa experience on this German waka. I hope this lightens the mood here because I know the mood around here is down .

So I've been on my German journey since late 2018, I tried applying to many schools for Msc admission and got loads of rejection which dampened my mood but I decided I was not going to relent. So all through 2019 I was seeking admissions in public schools and I wasn't getting any, I guess because my course of study was in high demand (Data science) which requires the best Bsc result.

In the midst of this rejection offers I decided not to relent and was a follower of this German visa thread on nairaland. I began to notice that even with admission letters, appointment letters at the Embassy was not forthcoming and so I decided to leave Nigeria.

Early this year I decided on moving to Turkey, with the aim of staying six months and then moving to Germany, at this point I had no German admission yet but I decided on pursuing it. I came to Turkey in March and during the whole lockdown I started looking out for more schools to apply to in Germany.

My plan was very simple, I would come to Turkey , stay for six months with their residence permit and then apply for German visa after getting admission to Germany. So, I was sending applications here and there while I was in Turkey here and BOOM I finally got an admission to one of the best schools in Germany (top 10 percent worldwide). At this point I already had my Turkish resident permit and was waiting for my six months to complete before I apply for the German study visa at the Embassy here.

Finally, the six months elapsed, and then I began the visa application process which was very simple and fine .

The Process here in Turkey is very simple:

1. They have a third-party body (iData) that you book visa appointments through.
2. You pay about 69 Turkish lira which is an equivalent of (4500 naira) and then they tell you in two weeks you'll get an appointment to go to the Embassy. Mine came in 9 days.
3. They sent me the required documents and everything I needed to take to the Embassy which was not a problem at all. Required documents were blocked account confirmation ( I used expatrio), health insurance which expatrio provides, original copy of your degree certificate, visa application form and biometric passport photographs and most importantly 75 euros and motivation letter.
4. And so I went to the Embassy, guys it was very smooth there.. no stress whatsoever. I got to the Embassy on time . Had a wait time of 20 minutes and then it was time to talk to the visa officer.
5. The interview questions were smooth though plenty, I advice for preparation and calmness. So at the end of the interview the visa officer told me I will be given a visa decision in 4-6 weeks and so I left.
6. Guys, exactly one week after my visa interview , I received a call from the Embassy that my passport and other documents are being shipped by UPS and they are calling to confirm my home address. I responded accordingly and they said in 2 - 3 days I will receive my documents.
7. I am glad to say I received my passport with the visa stamped.

I can say I am ready to travel to Germany and start a new phase in my life..

Cheers Everyone!! For everyone still trying and hoping to leave Nigeria for Germany or anywhere else, I believe everyone's dreams and wishes will come to pass.

Abeg brov reply my email.

Good morning guys, who has funded BA with form A of recent? I need to know if this is still possible with the new CBN laws?

Also if you want to use Transfermate with Naira card, it won't go through.

Why not walk inside any bank around you and enquire because' some days back I received a msg from my bank Gtbank to precise that the new CBN policy allows customers to transfer close to 10m every day

Reason I'm making this enquiries here is because I'm currently not in Nigeria.

Got offer into two courses i applied for at Duisburg Essen University, During filling of application, they asked for my German competency level but i put none.. .. I guess its a conditional offer of admission..

below is the offer letter,

Can i use this to book for German language study visa or I should just enroll for a German course here in Nigeria to get an equivalent certificate..

Enroll for German language proficiency certificate lessons and examination as soon as soon as possible.
Then, apply for Visa after making sure you achieved their required band or score.

Many of us are in the same ship.
Category B applicants are at their mercy.
Have you tried sending them your enrollment certificate/letter via e-mail?
Some people were lucky to get dates through that.

Try calling the embassy, they hardly answer though.
If they don't answer, then print out the enrollment certificate and draft a short letter telling them that you have been enrolled and have been attending lectures online that you really need to be in Germany to take part in the course fully then send it to German embassy via post (DHL etc) also send a soft copy of the letter via email and wait.
Normally they don't respond to emails due to the thousands of emails they receive daily so a post could b more effective.

Great. in a scenario where you get a funding of €300 monthly, which is below the €856 demanded by the embassy, can you still apply for CAT A as a scholarship student? was yours full funding or partial. thanks smiley
What's the concern.

Please I want to know the specifics Credentials that need to be notarize while applying via Uni- assist.

Adding to these, Uni assist is demanding for a seal Transcript so with the University too. Is my University in Nigeria sending two different Transcript ? One for Uni assist & the other for TUM?

Please your response is really appreciated & will go a long way.

Thanks

Send these documents to uni-assist via post-
(i.)your certified transcript(your school should send it directly to them)
(ii.)your certified true copy of degree certificate (your school should send it also).
Then, upload your SSCE result(WAEC or NECO) and the scratch card on your My assist online account for verification by uni-assist.
Uni-assist will use these documents to generate VPD for you which you'll use to apply directly to TUM.
Don't send any document via post to TUM.
Go to the page of the department you want to apply for their course and note the documents you're going to upload online in your TUM's account.

Please I thought uniassist accepts notarized transcript it doesn’t have to be directly sealed from the school, please correct me if I’m wrong I mean if things have changed
